// The mouse problem has got so bad, with sightings reported daily, that one MP brought her cats to the Commons. //

I wonder how much she claimed for doing that.
Probably just a house, Ludwig...
Yes pixie, I bet she's had to buy a second home to keep them in......It's probably a mews* house.

*see what I did there?
Lol :-) terrible! X
Haaa! Silly devil!! :o)
For a small consideration I will accept an all-expenses-paid sojourn in London with my terrier. Ex-mice guaranteed. A few cats are the obvious answer to the mouse problem. As for the other vermin --- how about bloodhounds?
I find cats bring in more mice than they get rid of. Dogs scare them off.
That isn’t news, its been a problem for years....its the same in most old buildings.
I worked in a very old hospital once which had a mouse problem in the medical records department which, like many hospitals was in the semi basement. There were semi tame feral cats in the ground so some bright spark in maintenance decided a good idea would be to encourage the cats into the medical records department. It worked really well and the cats dealt with the majority of the mice......and imported their fleas into the hospital!
For the mouse problem just buy some decent traps and some cheese(my mate reckons bacon but that is probably not politically acceptable these days). Just dont get those left 'oomane ones.

As for moths, just stop the tightwads opening their wallets. Shouldn't be difficult!

my 2 jacks would sort it!
Sure wuld, especially if my dozen gregory snapping traps were used!
I can't understand why they can't use cats. A couple of cats would solve the problem for years to come.
Dogs will get them plus dogs can get the bigger rats.
My dearly missed, recently deceased, cat - Minette - would tackle rats.
I also saw her finish-off an 'aspic'. This is a small adder and was when I lived in France. A very brave, dearly missed animal.
Ah the RAT HOUSE.
