Or dare I suggest it may be partially due of the different cultural standards that we now have in this country?

I say this because in all the recent debates on this subject, many reasons have been put forward ie one parent families (no father figures) Falling Police resources due to Government cuts, Violent video games, cessation of stop and searches, etc, etc.

But nowhere has multiculturalism ever been mentioned, is it because of the fear that the dreaded racist card may be played?

/// I don't think anyone has attempted to muffle you, AOG. ///

And I have never said they have, it is the population of this country who are being muffled, that is why such sites as this are so popular, one can discuss such matters more openly, granted you will always get those throwing out their insults if one dares to touch a few raw nerves, but as Clark Gable would say "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn".
i put a lot of it down to over population in inner cities as well as today's generation want everything now with disregard how they get it.
lack of morals and ethics no hard work attitude instilled from childhood, and probably never tried hard at school if they went.
and if some of the criminals are migrants then they should be deported if over 18 and not british citizens.
So, in other words, you put it down to the usual explanation of the elder generation for decline in the morality of the youth that's been offered up since time immemorial?

Don't be silly if the white prison population had decreased then it is obvious that it could be reported the the black population seemed to be increasing even if their numbers remained the same.

By the way did you notice that those reports were Guardian reports?

That's right Jim use the old Lefftie method, try sidetracking the issue, if all else fails.

/// Latest Ministry of Justice report also confirms black and Asian people remain far more likely to be stopped by police ///

Now I wonder why that could be?
Selection Bias! Is that some trendy new expression?

I haven’t read a newspaper since the Yorkshire Ripper was caught, (and that was only because I was going on a long boring train journey) because I have no interest in sport, fashion, some journalist’s diatribe about the benefits of eating lentils, or what Joanna Lumley wore to go to the supermarket.
I get most of my news from the TV, and if anything is of a particular interest to me, then I’ll look it up on the net.
Perhaps I should start reading The Glasgow Herald, The Yorkshire Post or The London Evening Standard to give myself a better understanding.
Actually - forget the Evening Standard - are there any British people left in London any more?
Oh AOG I don't think I am the one being silly!!

I think the problem is Jack the figures are not available (that I can see) for looking to see if multiculturalism has any effect on crime figures. If multiculturalism has no effect you would think the authorities would soon publish them.

I don't see where I've sidetracked at all in this thread, AOG. I've pointed out that the data don't really allow for as specific an interpretation as you are offering -- and that, anyway, alternative figures are showing a *decrease* in crime -- and I rubbished that old cliche about how it's clearly the young people's fault, which has always been said at this point and has always been equally right (as in, wrong).

A honour killing hey?

Now there is one crime that seems to have been introduced by followers of a certain culture.

Data, Figures etc??????? that is exactly my point, everything than any which might point the finger in the wrong direction.
These "crimes of passion" are not limited to Muslims only. As an example, in the United States there are approximately 1,200 women killed every year by their husbands or intimate partners. This demonstrates that these crimes occur in every nation and in every society, regardless of religion, race or language. These crimes must be condemned and punished by every society.
Any chance you could explain what you mean by that last post?

Also, any chance you could explain why pointing to actual official statistics is "sidetracking", when your link is literally about actual official figures?
I have removed the blinkers & have reached the conclusion that crime figures statistics are published to fool the public into believing all is well in the country after all the savings have been made by whittling down police numbers. It is patently obvious to anyone with a grain of intelligence to work out the less police presence on our streets the more crime will be happening.

/// These "crimes of passion" are not limited to Muslims only. ///

They are not 'crimes of passion' that is an entirely different crime and reason for it, and who mentioned Muslims is that chip lying heavy today?
//introduced by followers of a certain culture. //
OK who did you mean here

Hands up you got me I am muslim!!
I blame "Brexit" Well why not? Everything else in the news that the Blatantly Biased Conspiracy, deems as bad, is blamed on the referendum result.

I will try to Jim whether or not you will still not understand is completely out of my hands.

What I am trying to point out is the fact that any number of reasons, figures and statistics will be banded about over crime figures, "They are increasing", "they are not increasing", "they are on the decline", the reason being, "cuts in police numbers", more people are reporting crime" etc, etc.

Yet no mention from any source that Multiculturalism may be a factor ie different cultures "behave differently", "have different standards" etc etc.

My side-tracking reference was not about crime figures but by this comment of yours, "the usual explanation of the elder generation for decline in the morality of the youth"
