Remembering that May was/is a Remoaner did she trash the election kowing uncertainty would scupper the Brexit 'negotiations'?

I honestly cant think of another reason for such a poor campaign - orchestrated by her.

Now we have a cabinet of Remoaners. I am suspecting we will end up worse off, doing what Corbyn wants i.e. paying bucket loads but having no seat at the EU.

I think you will find that was the promise if elected. She wasnt so the promise cannot hold good just as in the case of all labour's freebies - (clearly a promise they will break in your eyes).
I am on record on AB on at least 4 past posts where I have said that I am certain that May was intentionally set up to fail 'Brexit' !
This looks like the final proof !
First she insisted on going to the supreme court despite a unanimous verdict from the court of appeal that she had to consult parliment on the terms of leaving the EU.
Then she ignored her own cabinet and insisted on a 'Hard Brexit' on her own terms.
Then she insisted on haveing a snap election despite already having a majority that was more than enough to force brexit through.
Then she refused to change her stance despite all the polls showing that Labour were catching her up
Then she refused to resign
Then she wants to bring in the most religiously bigoted Mp's ever to be elected to government despite knowing it would be impossible to reconcile it with the NI situation!
Need I say more!

And as talks are being held with Labour you have to wonder how much Labour remoaners were in on it.
This tells us what Mrs May Really thinks of Brexit!
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/oct/25/exclusive-leaked-recording-shows-what-theresa-may-really-thinks-about-brexit
She is on record as late as June 2016 as saying that Brexit would be a disaster for the UK!
( and saying that the idea of a 3rd runway for Heathrow was 'fundamentally flawed')
Read and check my link carefully as I have been accused of 'making it up and lying' by other AB members!!
Oh how fast she did a U turn when offered the chance to be PM!
Mind you some on here will say The Guardian is telling lies!
come on we are always saying our politicians could not organise a &*^%up in a brewery and yet now they are capable of a massive conspiracy to welch on brexit! May thought Labour could not challenge, she thought she'd put through some unpopular stuff because she thought she could not lose. The Campaign was terrible and Labour managed to get a lot of unexpected support. Occams Razor, end of.
TTT Corbyn like him or loath him, is a very clever dedicated politician who has not changed his views or stance in over 40 years! People are realising that and he is becoming VERY popular!
I personally realized that when I tried to get to see him in Cambridge and could not get to within 200 yards of the venue due to the crowds of supporters. It was like trying to get to see a top 'pop star' at a free concert!
Eddie, //[Corbyn] has not changed his views or stance in over 40 years//

Sounds about right. Here's to the future! :o/
quite right eddie he's still supports the Islamic terror organisations and of course the IRA, surprised that is so "popular".
There's something wrong with a person who never changes his views in 40 years. Things happen, things change, you have to move with the times.
Ladybirder, that's not something Corbyn does. He's an old hippie who's never grown out of it.
I think as conspiracy theroeis go that is up there with the daftest :-)

"At least someone got a landslide" quips May to the re-elected John Bercow, so she's gained/not lost a sense of humour...
Yep Naomi, that's him:-(
Ah !....I can see the problem here....it was the fault of the 12,874,985 people that voted Labour !
Mikey, chaos ensues and for once you're right. ;o)
A chaos of Mrs Mays own doing.
IMO it's a ridiculous suggestion, as is the claim that Brexit negotiations are scuppered. At worst it's simply given remainers further heart to claim an issue and try to influence and effectively negate Brexit, but any adequate parliament would slap any such disloyal suggestion down with ease.
Bazile - //No I think it was much more simple , than that .

She was riding so high in the polls that she and her advisers thought it would be a walk in the park and that they would annihilate the Labour party ; without having to expend much energy and effort .
Added to that not much thought was given to the manifesto and what was put in it , severely alienating a lot of the electorate , who may have otherwise naturally voted for the party .

Put simply she took an opportunity to overtake , pulled out , and met a 38 tonner coming in the opposite direction //

I think that is absolutely spot on.

She failed to learn the lesson from the hubris of her predecessor, and was promptly shafted by the same sense of arrogance.
I'm actually very positive now. In was resigned to a large Conservative majority which would have allowed the government to take us not only out of the EU , which I still accept will happen, but out of the EEC & customs union as well. Plus making State pension an income related benefit was on the cards !!
That is now impossible no matter what happens!
I don't give a damn either way about winter fuel payments being means tested or paid to UK expats! I'm on Pension credit so I'm sure of getting mine , plus I get another £155 'warmer homes' credit from British Gas ! that with the £200 from the government covers 4 months of my fuel bills !
Mikey, who are you going to blame when Corbyn is Prime Minister. ;o)
