all the partys are equally bad in my opinion sadly, all seem rather weak without cohesion
and to much infighting back stabbing or brown mouths, seems it's always been this way though.
im getting tired of all of it, they promise much but never deliver.

Can someone get Mr DB a razor - he seems to have some hairs to split ...
Now look here, Dive......Naomi is trying her hardest to make us all think tonight.....we're all giving it a go....join us....

gness, //Naomi is trying her hardest to make us all think tonight.....we're all giving it a go....//

Must try harder.
Lets see if I understand, the cons are wanting to get the unionists to make up the numbers but they are terrorists, the leader of HM opposition has a few friends who are terrorists, glad I live in a democracy.
Dive.....you're taking me back to my days of dealing with the cocky boy in year five who thought he knew it all and ended up looking a bit silly....
If we carry on I know you'll end up saying....
Wotever Miss......so I'm off to listen to the end of the group in the room downstairs.....x
OK - for the hard of thinking.

The Conservative and Unionist Party used to include the Ulster Unionists (now effectively a defunct force) but is now simply a badge the the mainstream Tories use when it suits them.

The DUP are not (and never have been) part of the Conservative & Unionist Party - they are an entirely separate party with some unsavoury links to terrorist organisations - as my link to the DM shows. So my original post was correct and you are just raising phantom, spurious quibbles.

Any more hairs you want to split before I get a life?

DB - I refer you to my post at 1:09 ... and await an apology - but won't hold my breath
SD is correct. Before the advent of the DUP the UU took the Tory whip in the H of C. This arrangement was stopped in 1972 when Heath imposed direct rule on NI.

One last time :

The Conservative and Unionist Party have made a pact with the DUP (who are not part of that party and never have been) but who do have terrorist links.

That's what I said, that's what is true, you are wrong to quibble.
Thanks Jackdaw - I thought my memory was correct.

The internal fissures and factions of NI Unionism are tricky even for the locals - for the rest of us it's a nightmare.

It is (with the addition of the letters DUP to precisely identify the terrorist sympathisers) exactly what I am saying now.

But (as you say) enough is enough ...
Murdo - I heard that some Tories had balked at a formal coalition, but that a 'supply and confidence' deal had been done - is this now dead too?
Supply and confidence deal has been agreed in principle. Further negotiations to follow. It's a mess!
