She may be leaving LBC, but she is still writing a lot of truth thanks to the Daily Mail.

Please read what she has put, before you condemn her, how can anyone disagree with this?

/// If I was Katie Hopkins, I could spend another thirty minutes padding it out with some more over-emotional guff designed to appeal to people who think crying on reality shows makes them empathetic, and people who watch them think they understand what emotions are. ///

/// and her pretend empathy is an insult to anyone involved in any way in this terrible tragedy. ///

So according to you all those at vigils throughout the country and who were hugging each other and shedding a tear were actually showing 'pretend empathy'?
Excellent article - well done Katie.
Islay, i would never call hime that, on the contrary he very articulate
unlike other aber's
LBC's James O Brien has got her number - "a monstrous self-publicist" who "employs the most vile of thoughts and language in a desperate attempt to stay relevant and get noticed".
Bang on 100%
fender - // andy-hughes, so andy most people are just plebs and do not understand complex issues, nothings black and white and simplistic. //

It's been a while since anyone has used the 'So' rule - but here it is again - saying something that the previous poster did not say, and then criticising that poster for it.

Perfect.

///on the contrary he very articulate unlike other aber's///

Well thanks for that fender, the rest of us are inarticulate are we?
Well having read the answers on this thread I'd rather listen to katie hopkins anyday

AOG, I know your knee-jerk reaction is to leap on anything I post, but do try reading what I post first, it will help your criticism to be accurate, at least.

It is Ms Hopkins' 'empathy' which is pretend, that is what my post actually says, so that has no bearing on people who are genuinely supporting each other in this terrible time.

As for people at vigils showing empathy, where do I suggest that this is 'pretend empathy'? I would have thought even you could recognise the difference between a reality show and a vigil, but if not, I am happy to highlight the difference for you.

I would have thought the mention of using vigils to score your petty points was beneath even you - but I am always happy to be contradicted.
AOG - //So according to you all those at vigils throughout the country and who were hugging each other and shedding a tear were actually showing 'pretend empathy'? //

I almost forgot - you are using the 'So' rule again as well!!!
The fact that AOG has been taken in by Hopkins' article tipifies the DM readers wish to be brainwashed by such anti British drivel. There are more holes in her argument than a slice of Edam.

'the glaring gulf between the mantra that we must all carry on as normal and the reality.' I see no glaring gulf.

She seems to complain about a regiment marching across town and what a platoon is doing. She'd be the first to screech about the lack of presence / action if there wasn't one.
She then goes on to say 'Where are the troops around the places that we visit? The underground we need to get home?' stupid woman.

She seems to think that normal people have been 'sacrificed on the altar of political correctness'. Anyone here feel like that? Anyone?

I'm glad I was born with the intelligence to see through such glaringly obvious contradictions and untruths. Shame some people have the opportunity to support her vile rhetoric.
I wish we had a 'like' option. Well said Zacs.
I never have liked the woman but even if I don't like someone I will still evaluate their talk, their diatribes and sometimes....just time times they ring true. Doesn't mean I like the author, nor totally agree with them, but the write, if verbatim...I totally agree with.

If she means what she says and it's word for word I have to agree. I think everything should be looked at face level and each article by whoever should be judged. I still don't like the woman but once again she does speak on behalf of many...IMO.
Cheers ummm. I just had to challenge the OPs 'how can anyone disagree with this?' as others have done.
Yes ummmm me too, I often wish that then at least we could indicate how we feel without a long drawn out 'speech'.

Baldric, no..i was referring to islays comment on oldgit
I watched an interview with her on American tv, I felt embarrassed for her. She spoke over other guests, she tutted, signed, rolled her eyes, she was a shambles. Her opinion is all that matters in her world.
ummmm, she's outspoken ill give you that, not very good at discourse

I see the monstrous regiment of women is out in force again.
Would you bet, I wonder, on getting anything approaching normal critical faculty from the sum of their IQs? You would? Not from their product, though, eh?
