....The usual cobblers from Theresa May. Not just her. We get this all the time. They won't, disrupt us/attack on democracy/we are stronger/we will move forward/security working hard etc etc. You will never stop someone who wants to kill his or herself. No matter how they want to do it. People are talking about the goodness in Muslims, e.g. the taxi drivers last night(were they all Muslims?), medical staff, security staff etc. but I would bet the suicide bomber wasn't a white person. We keep hearing all this guff about Muslims but the fact is (and it IS a fact) that all these terror attacks are perpetrated by Muslims. Don't dress it up. Don't try and be weedy and feeble about how nice they are. Somewhere inside the Muslim community there is a poisonous element who want to murder British people. Fact. But don't mention it to anyone. We don't want to upset them do we?

12000 of them on the NI/police lists apparently......chuck em out.
And they're only the ones we know about.
a bit like the old joke about what do you call a 1000 dead lawyers at the bottom of the Atlantic, naomi....a bloody good start.
You haven't answered Youngmafbog, which is a good thing really....
It must mean you are spouting hot, unsubstantiated air......

We all know that some things posted will ring alarm bells in high places........if you were to say you know who the terrorist sympathisers on AB are....well I suppose you'd be questioned..... :-)
Jim; For heavens sake! I'm talking about closing mosques as a form of punishment, not mass executions. Taking the most extreme examples of collective punishment does not remove the principle.
You allow a group of travellers to camp on your land, it gets trashed but it is only really by one part them, do you allow them all to return?
I suggest not.
A question, perhaps too soon, how did this nutcase get through security - or did he come in at the end of the concert when their guard was down?
^^^^

I suspect the latter
I think he detonated the bomb in the merchandise area DTC, whereas the security system covered entry to the auditorium.

Awful as it seems, considering how close this was to Victoria Station it is difficult to imagine that he (or anyone connected to him) couldn't have simply bought a train ticket and detonated his device onboard.
Bomb IS back to the Stone Age. Whoops, that's where they are already...
//Of course they're all terrorists just like all Englishmen are Morris Dancers and all Scotsmen wear kilts! //

Except of course English "nancys" and Jocks in frocks aint gonna sneak up and blow you to smithereens. Unless you include Eddie Izzard and Stanley Baxter.
I wonder how the nutter knew that he would be able to just stroll in at the end of the concert? Someone must have imparted the info. Perhaps a peace loving member of the Arena staff?
Shame on you toga,
Togo

No - that's not how arena venues operate.

You will have an inner auditorium, which you need to show your ticket to get into. However outside that will be a lobby with merchandise to buy, and refreshments.

This is where the bomb was detonated.

You don't need a ticket for that area.
Bit strong, what, Togo, a bit like Romans wearing skirts must be wooftahs. Rescind that remark if I was you.....your point on potential inside info is a valid one though and it does look like that the polis are looking at a wider network and who made this bomb as to get that effect, at the time required, suggests that it is more than a ham-am nutter Muslim.
No DT I was merely highlighting the misplaced analogy earlier, which excuses the tendency of our new Muslim "citizens" by comparing them with the harmless habits and custom of some of the more established residents of the UK. Perhaps I was a little flippant, doesn't mean I was wrong.
it was the analogy perhaps. It sounds like that we have a similar parallel here to the airport explosions, such as Zaventum, the issue being where does one draw the boundary between security-checked and the public-at-large.
I'll admit I've made less Godwin-inspired arguments in the past, but as it happens I am not sure it invalidates the point I'm making. Reprisals against a community, of any form, are wholly distasteful. Granted levelling a mosque isn't of the same scale as Lidice, but it comes from the same mindset.

No, I am not going to rise to the bait so you can get me banned.
keep it up Jim]

I shold have known from the [first] OP - the Race Relations Act caused the Manchester bomb - but not the one in 1995....
