For better or worse the French people have made their choice, why can't the Left accept that?

One of Le Pen's policies is to impose a tax on businesses employing foreigners, sounds racist to me.
Is the foreigners' race the issue, or that the company opted not to employ French citizens ?
...all French...
Kromovaracun
Everybody on this thread is condemning the violence, Talbot.

No they are not. I have you down as a sensible poster but what you have said above is bullcrap
Taxing firms which employ foreigners is just formalising the existing state of affairs. The ex-maire of our Commune went to the house of a (French) villager who had employed an English builder after getting fed up of the delays and difficulties caused by the local French builder.
She stood on his doorstep and berated him soundly, publicly and almost hysterically for his 'betrayal'. In vain did he protest that the English builder had been prompt and efficient.
Is this today's anti Muslim thread ?
If you're stupid enough to want that to be true then yes, it is.

It your mind what it thinks is nothing to do with me.

it's
Anne - I think it's about left wing rioters.
I'll be so glad come May 8 when Le Pen has been trounced, the idiotic violent protesters can get back in their boxes and the ridiculous fuss being made of her can abate for at least a while.
Until the legislative elections in June :-)
I know ummm( at the moment )
Charges of ‘racism’ are being bandied around here quite freely, I can only assume in an effort to make those who are concerned about the future of their societies feel guilty in some way, and to make those who scream ‘racism’ at every opportunity feel somehow ‘holier than thou’, but frankly I’m at a loss to understand why anyone wants millions of people, most of whom are economic migrants who have little to offer and can only burden existing services further, flooding into Europe. If someone – anyone – can explain that, I’m listening.
That question is actually irrelevant to the question of whether Le Pen and her isolationist, protectionist and I am afraid yes racist policies are good for France, never mind. She'd certainly be bad news for Britain. Having a neighbour like that would not be a good thing.
None of which excuses the daft reaction of the people AOG is on about.
*never mind Europe
From the Storming of the Bastille onwards the Parisians have always loved a good barney. Nothing unusual here.
ichkeria, the question isn't irrelevant at all. It's absolutely pertinent. The main complaint here against Le Pen appears to be that she doesn't want hordes of economic migrants flooding into her country. My question is why do those complaining want hordes of economic migrants flooding into their country? Simple enough question but perhaps too difficult to answer.
Just shy of 70% turn out, I note. Maybe apathy (or fear of a terrorist attack at a polling station) has had an effect on the result?

Some of the DM images look a helluva lot like the start of a civil war to me.
In Britain, we would call a 70% turn out a success !
Turnout was 72.2% for the neverendum.
You're not wrong there JD. How many of the voters who turned out for the Eurosceptic protectionist left winger M Melenchon will plump for the blonde bombshell in round 2? My guess is not many: that 'clivage gauche droite' will probably be too severe a line to cross for most.
Oh dear I have to get the idea of the Le Pen cleavage out of my mind now ...
