The liberalism relates to the 'multicuturalism' which we can see leads to violent (rape etc) crime.

Khandro's video is disturbing, but hardly an unbiased view.

I agree though, the sooner we educate people that religion is nonsense and dangerous the better.
I know I'll bring down a ton of bricks on my head - so I shan't respond again or follow this thread, but, garaman, I do not believe that my religion is dangerous or nonsense. I am mainstream C of E and we do one heck of a lot of good in our area and work hard to achieve it.
Garaman; //the sooner we educate people that religion is nonsense and dangerous the better. //

The issue here, is that it is the burgeoning of Islam within the European Christian society which is the danger and has produced these outrages not what you call, "religion" per se.
That is the issue as you see it, Khandro. The issue as I see it is that the world is split into religious societies founded on nonsense, which are intolerant of one and other.

I am not sure what Jourdain2 is implying; I am not suggesting that some Christians don't do good work, as do some from all religions.
Khandro, There can be no doubt that one religion has produced, and is producing, these outrages. Nevertheless the rest of us are expected to respect that religion simply because it is religion. I agree with Garaman.
naomi; // Nevertheless the rest of us are expected to respect that religion simply because it is religion.//

You are not expected to respect Islam because it is a religion, you are expected to do so because its adherents think it is the word of God, anyone not believing this should either accept it or face destruction. This is the aim of the Muslim Brotherhood which is attempting (and succeeding) to infiltrate Western civilization leading to the dire circumstances of Sweden.
No other religion is so intolerant.
Khandro, //No other religion is so intolerant.//

I’m very well aware of that.

//You are not expected to respect Islam because it is a religion//

Yes … we are. You are among those who demand respect for religion - but whereas I respect none of it, in your case it's anything other than Islam.
I will never hold respect for any religion, they are all based on absolute nonsense, if its not talking snakes then its flying horses! The stuff for childrens story books only!!

I believe in people's rights to believe whatever they want, just don't expect my respect!
naomi, I don't "demand" anything. Common sense tells me that Islam is not wholly a religion at all; I believe it is about 20% religion and 80% politics. It is the politics I reject, I can accept the religious element, though it has no place in European society, which whatever you believe, is founded on Christianity.
Listen to Bach's St Matthew Passion and tell me otherwise.
Khandro, you complained only a day or so ago – and not for the first time - that people were criticizing Christianity – and please don’t go into airy-fairy mode with Bach., etc. It adds nothing to the discussion and means nothing to me. Where Islam is concerned you can’t accept the religious aspect without accepting the politics. They are one and the same – but I agree with you that Islam has no place in European society.
n. So, if J.S.Bach means nothing to you and religion means nothing to you - your outlook appears to be rather bleak!
Khandro, as magnificent as Bach’s work doubtless is, it doesn’t elicit within me the notion of spirituality that you imply it should. If that, in your opinion, together with the absence of religion in my life results in a bleak outlook for me, I’d very much like to know why you reach that conclusion.
"So, if J.S.Bach means nothing to you and religion means nothing to you - your outlook appears to be rather bleak!

What absolute twaddle!!

I would also love to know how Khandro reaches such a conclusion as my outlook would appear to be bleak as well.
Twaddle, or the words of someone incapable of understanding that others might think differently.
Garaman, or more to the point that others are perfectly capable of living fulfilling lives without the dubious benefits of religion to support them.
Garaman "Twaddle, or the words of someone incapable of understanding that others might think differently."

I am fully aware that many people think differently, however, that does change the fact that it is still absolute "twaddle" and that is putting it very politely!!!
what is happening in Sweden is happening here, just have a look around you. Christianity is on the wane, but the adherents of Islam are not.
How to combat it, the answer is you can't, too many people in this country have their heads in the sand so to speak, they don't see or hear what is obvious to some, they don't want to see that Islam is not conducive to our way of life, democracy, freedom of expression, the rights we have fought for through inter and external wars.
I think most people see that, emmie, but as you suggest they don't know how to combat it.

Christianity has been on the wane for many a year. Nowadays though people like me who were brought up to adhere to a religion are more likely to register as 'nones' (not 'nothings' Khandro) than they once were if they no longer adhere to the religion. My father for example would have ticked the Catholic box, but I can't remember seeing him in a church other than for weddings and funerals.
