I have just looked at this morning's reporting online of Brexit in both the Telegraph and the BBC, has anyone looked? The Telegraph is full of optimism and the BBC is so down beat. High on the BBC UK homepage is Tarzan's usual doom-laden diatribe, and it informs us that the residents of Spain think it is bad (despite nothing having yet happened.)
Recently a group of back-benchers called for some form of action to be taken about BBC bias, do they have a point, or are we in for 2 years of this?

//I'm sorry but the country's fortunes are unaffected by whether you talk them up and down//

Not done much haggling/negotiating on deals have you? Your used car salesman must jump for joy when you pop in.

1ozzy; //BBC biased in one direction, Telegraph biased in the other?
What media outlet is not biased in someway.//

We have the choice to buy and read which newspapers we like; people who buy the Guardian, probably don't also buy the Express, but the BBC is different, it is subscribed to by everyone via a license fee without any choice and it should be as impartial as is realistically possible.
The problem is that it has seemingly become staffed entirely by lefty liberals, a situation which is sadly, self-perpetuating and badly needs to be looked at.
As Donny says, we and the BBC should all now be working towards a better future for Britain (and Europe).
Complaining about the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation - that's another moan :-)
Ymb - sorry, do you believe we can just wish a good deal into existence?
Is it not more - um - Hitlerian to be castigating people for not smiling and waving at the good ship Theresa as she sails off to fight the enemy while at the same time uttering dark hints about the enemy within :-)
AOG tho mentioned Hitlet first so a Godwin to my right honourable friend ....
No Krom, dont be daft. You are not stupid at all and know exactly what I mean.
Ich, other broadcasters managed to do it without smiling or grieving. Why not the BBC?
I used to enjoy the Radio 4 News Quiz, and The Now Show but they are just full of remoaners too.
The Ramones were a 70s band

No it's not, it is the subject of this thread.
The Spanish economy gets a tremendous boost fron UK expats and holiday makers, so brexit is going to be bad for them. After brexit they will be more dependant on the largesse of Germany and will have to become more German...
"bias" = "disagrees with me"
ymb, how much negotiating can you do when you've already announced "I am going to buy this car whatever it costs"?
Leave campaigners have been poring over every line of output from the BBC to prove bias.

I believe Tony Hall when he said recently that “Impartiality has always been the cornerstone of BBC News. It remains so today.”

He went on to say:

“We go to great lengths to ensure that we balance our coverage and address all issues from a wide range of different perspectives. It is one of the reasons why the public trusts the BBC more than any other source of news"*

“I agree...that these are consequential times. For that reason, it is more important than ever that the BBC’s journalism is independent of political pressure.”

*That bit about being a trusted news source is key.

It's really true:

What we have here is Leave supporters dancing to a tune that no-one else can hear.

A poll,

*** Conducted for the BBC by Ipsos MORI in February, ***

And a Guardian link.

So it must be true, not one suggestion of bias there then?

LMAO
You can talk your project out of existence if you are negative about it. You are more likely to succeed if you are positive and talk it up. What is not to understand there?

Why should others bother giving you what you want if you convince them you are not going to win before you even start?

Good grief I am glad anyone who thinks that doesn't work for me or have to negotiate on my behalf.
It matters not a jot who is/isn't biased in print/media, the process has started, we have no say on the outcome, sit back and see:-)

No, what we have here is the remain supporters dancing to a tune that is already out of date and out of the charts, never to return.

We are out of the EU, get over it.
Sit back and see is fine if the reporting were reasonably positive.

As has been said all the reporting of negativity sends out a damaging message. That is what the problem is. The remoaners damaging the process by constantly talking the UK and its citizens down.
