The former prime minister will make the statement at his first big speech since the EU referendum, arguing that people were misinformed when they voted for Brexit.

Yes Mothman we are all intitled to a vote and as you say we have to respect the result which ever way it goes as the majority of us do.
//I find myself agreeing with your take on the 'devious' nature of SOME (please don't lump us all in together)//

Prior to the referendum, and increasingly more so since the result, the Europhiles have conveniently taken great delight in type casting the people who saw the answer as out. We have constantly been "lumped" together as Xenophobic, Fascist, Little Englander Homophobic Racist Fascists. No protests there then, so it should come as little surprise if we now adopt the same sort of tactics. Likewise the increasing involvement of the legal system to block due process. This isn't going to stop, if and when the left wing take the levers of power, it is here to stay. Lessons have indeed been learned.
He should know top dog at smoke and mirrors.
All this from Blair, just strengthens the brexiteers, no one in the country trusts him so a rather curious choice for the bremainers to pick as their leader!
togo, you missed out "swivel eyed loons"
There is only one swivel eyed loon on a/b ! just look in the mirror and you will see a perfect image of one, T Tree.
Knight in Shining Armour. Surely there's a Spoonerism somewhere there? I can get the first word but Knining doesn't quite work.
I was not misinformed, I voted out willingly and happily. To think I helped to vote this twonk into power back in the day !!
I admire your frankness, hereIam, in admitting to your folly that you once voted for Blair. Personally I would confess to far more heinous offences rather than that.
Lets all meet up here in 20 years time and compare notes , eh ?
It's only because I am anonymous Jackdaw !
So he maintains we have to take the decision back to the people because we weren't given the truth initially. So much for listening to the people when he took us into war against our wishes, and was lying through his back teeth. Despicable man.

I voted for him too.

Big mistake ... Jeremy Corbyn has found out and is now begging me to join his front bench.
Talbot, you do realise that if you join the Front Bench there is a realistic prospect of you having to put the lips on the Abbott woman?
It's insulting to constantly told that I didn't understand what I was voting for and that I was misled by the big red bus....

Tony Blair should be kept away from the British Political Arena. Preferably delayed by a long court-case in the Hague.....

B Liar was always a non-starter for me, he represented Labour, so no chance, since then he has become a War Criminal and now must be one of the most despised people in recent history.
You'd think he would know when to shut up but, sadly not.
I was a Labour voter back in the day and happy to be so, but I have changed now as people frequently do. I'm in no man's land at the moment though as I will never vote Tory either !
Agree completely with Jackthehat.
> Had it gone the other way would it have been valid to say, that the conditions of membership in the pyramid scheme had changed due to the economic instability of half the block, so we should have a re-run because the Remainiacs didn't explain.

You wouldn't need it. If it had gone the other way, by the same 52:48 margin, I think you'd find the Brexiters pushing for another vote very soon. Farage said as much. Does any Brexiter deny that they wouldn't be pushing for the same thing?

But it's the other way around. Now that Brexit has won, some hapless Remainers find themselves in the Canutean position of trying to stop the inevitable. And now, with Blair assuming the mantle, it's looking like a spring tide.
Tony Blair - the UK Weapon of Mass Destruction.
