Whatever else he's accused of, after only a week or so in office he can't be accused of failing to get on with the job he promised to do.

Is he proving to be a politician who's as good as his word?

I'm not sure that "at least he's doing what he said he would" is a silver lining, if what he said that he'd do is a crock of ***.
//He's not a politician.//

What exactly does that mean, please?
lol Jim !
Mikey. From Wikipedia:

The President of the United States (POTUS) is the elected head of state and head of government of the United States. The president directs the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces.

The President is considered to be one of the world's most powerful political figures, as the leader of the only contemporary global superpower. The role includes being the commander-in-chief of the world's most expensive military with the second largest nuclear arsenal and leading the nation with the largest economy by nominal GDP. The office of President holds significant hard and soft power both in the United States and abroad.

Note the 13th and 14th words in paragraph 2.
Like it or not, he’s a politician now!
“Mikey, how about answering the question?”

I think Mikey did yesterday, naomi, at 09:47 in this question:

“Trump hasn't delivered on anything yet.”

Whatever you think of Mr Trump's policies, he's getting on with them. I can only imagine if he was faced with the ludicrous Brexit situation the UK faces at the moment. I fancy A50 may have been triggered on June 24th (having made sure the referendum legislation was watertight). But of course the difference is that Mr Trump, being a businessman, prepares for all scenarios, even the worst case. In the UK politicians only prepare for what the "experts" tell them will happen.
ummmm

/// He's not a politician. ///

Ah! But he is upsetting his opposition.
And I forgot to add - there is no earthly reason why refugees rom Syria should travel all the way to the USA for sanctuary. There are plenty of places - excluding the EU which is full up and largely unsuitable anyway - close by which are more suited to their needs and culture
