Anyway this is all rather a mute point as the newspaper contradicts itself and there is no evidence that anything is being done!
I think the difference between Osama and Madonna is that one was the head of a terrorist organisation and the other is a pop star.
To be honest I have no idea why they bothered to March under the women's equality banner. What is it they are not getting that they think they should? With only moments in the job one can but assume they mean the previous administration didn't Gielgud them what they wanted soooo...

Forgot to say imo she should be investigated.
Thing is, you get fans (fanatics) who get inspired by their idols spouting off rubbish like this. That is why she should be told in no uncertain terms that you just don't do this sort of thing when you have influence over some people
I've seen the whole speech. I shuddered at that comment "I've been thinking about blowing up the White House."

Incredibly stupid.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Even as an off the cuff, tongue-in-cheek remark, it was uncalled for and deeply wrong. The whole conversation is now about what she said rather than what she said (if you see what I mean).
There you go AOG ^ a best answer from the 'left'

-Talbot-

When people fall back on the 'left' / 'right' thing, it makes me sad, because it means that they are unaware that centralists, like me don't fall into their predefined roles.

It's all simplistic and reductive.

I voted Conservative at the last General Election. My point is - people who are more liberal than you are not necessarily on 'the left'.

Is there a cut-off point at which a decision is made whereby your freedom of speech is curtailed on the basis that your fame may mean that what you say influences someone else?

Personally, I don't think so.
Addressing the OP - this appears to be a mouthy chippy pop star letting off some publicity-attracting steam of unconsidered ill-thought-out nonsense, and a mouthy chippy reality show loser commenting on it in a similar publicity- attracting steam of unconsidered ill-thought-out nonsense.

The best way to deal with either / both of them is to take lots of no notice.
chill sp ... it was a reference to the best answer argument tother day.
Those charged with defending the leader of the free world need look no further than the reedy, nasal dirge that is 'Like A Virgin' to see the connection between Madge and radical islamists.
One question mark in the wrong place and it's verging on incitement of suicide bombing and martyrdom.

According to some trains of thought on here. :)
Douglas, that was borderline humorous :-)

All depends whether or not you are a pop star or a certain President of the US.
AOG - Sorry, I don't understand your point - care to elucidate?
Madonna says, "I am not a vagina!" - no, a different orifice springs to mind.
Khandro - //Madonna says, "I am not a vagina!" //

It speaks to Madonna's overwrought sense of ego and self-importance that she even considered that anyone ever thought she was a vagina - or much less cared.

It's appertaining to your "free speech cut off point" reference.

Thousands of free women, led by equally brainless numpties, gather in force to protest against Donald Trump’s perceived misogyny ….. meanwhile the plight of millions upon millions of voiceless women who are obliged to suffer appalling misogyny throughout their entire lives is ignored. If Madonna and the motley crew she has taken it upon herself to represent really want to do something for the women of the world they’d be more gainfully employed in championing those women by protesting against the very real and enduring misogyny that is endemic within Islam.
Naomi24 - fair point. However, far easier to vent one's spleen at an individual rather than a religion.

Next, DT will be getting the blame for the weather and the following week it will be that he's on the TV too much.
