There is a central problem with this lads disappearance. CCTV saw him walk into the bins area behind Greggs, but nobody saw him come out, and the Police have shown no interest.

By the way, a Mobile phone was found near where he disappeared last week....does anyone know if it was his phone ?

/// It is 2017, not 1817! ///

We are not talking about dating in the normal sense of the word.

I think you will find that this sort of thing was more prolific in 1817 than it is now, even though there were no on-line dating sites back then.
I agree with divebuddy. It's happened frequently in Durham where youngsters under the influence of alcohol have been found to have fallen in the river.

I hope I am wrong in this case but with each passing day the prospects are bleak.
He might indeed have fallen into water and drowned. But how did he get out of that area behind Greggs, without the CCTV cameras seeing him ? He was seen on CCTV going in, but not coming out. He may have been in a vehicle, of course, but why has the driver of any vehicle not come forward ?

This important question won't go away.

Mikey, I'm sure the best men are on the job grappling with questions like that!

What I can't understand is the fact that he doesn't appear to be a loner he had a girlfriend, why didn't he go out that night with her?

If it was just a lad's night out, who did he spend the evening with?

And I am sure that they would have most likely ended the night and at least walked part of the way home together?
divebuddy - 'dunks was a good word!

If you are drunk of course it's easy to miss a warning sign too...
According to his Mum ( a serving Police Officer, by the way ! ) they are far from that. Nobody has yet tried to answer that question, but its becoming increasingly obvious that if we solve that question we will be very much nearer
the truth about this tragedy.

If he entered the area on foot, then he must have left by another method.

/// There's even a sign saying don't do it. ///

Yet some still shout "divebuddy"

Sorry for that on such a serious subject, but I just couldn't help it.

Mikey4444 - there was cctv evidence of Claudia Lawrence who went missing in York.That was in 2009 I believe. She is still missing. Investigations can be very complex.
Perhaps he has disappeared because he was being blackmailed and he feared bringing the RAF into disrepute.

Perhaps his girlfriend wasn't as into swinging the way he was perhaps perhaps perhaps we will never know.

After all he is an adult.
Infidelity, homosexuality, "singers", dating websites, are all apart of modern life, can and should be regarded as environments of felonies.
Also if you are in the media.....then SEX sells.
"swingers ".....;-) ^^^^
I too believe he's dead and possibly dumped in a river, poor soul and poor family.
I reckon he was picked up by someone (probably male) - well you do hear of guys taking someone back to their place and bumping them off when they have finished with them
Well his phone was tracked and said it could have only got from A to B in a vehicle.
So....where is that vehicle ? I am still uneasy over this affair. Someone knows more than they are saying. The only way he could have got out of that area behind Greggs, unobserved by the CCTV, is in a vehicle.
