mmmm. I wonder if they will, when there's a good chance that legal action may well expose G4 to be the bunch of incompetents that they are, and undermine the governments privatization drive?

apparently its so trivial it didnt make the bbc news!!
worst riot in yonks
It wouldn't matter how many prison officers you put on "duty", you could put 10 for every con, but if they know that their you man rites allow them to carp on the floor or make trouble or to be violent knowing the officers can't crack a few skulls for fear of the lawyers suing them, it will continue.
well if you run these places like butlins that's what happens. Let's make our jails more like jails for a start.
Jail time needs FMing out to Turkey o Thailand. Let them know hat a real prison is.
My son used to be a prison officer, not G4, and said there were more rules & regulations, for the prisoners health & safety, than there were for keeping them locked up.
Forgive me if I point out that they've already faced the full force of the law, Liz, and they're not bovvered.
Now tell me more about pork markets you hapless drone.

erm well it made the news when I looked

no mushie - they will still get indicted - a defence that they committed criminal acts because their jailers were so crap is doomed
it is nowhere near necessity or duress...

yeah I thought there might be an element of heaving out G4S....
