gawd elp us the brains trust has awoken!
Fidel Castro was a cigar-smoking, repressive leader who hated free speech and a free press.

Donald Trump, in comparison, doesn't smoke.
Did you actually read all the way down to the end of the article? Corbyn, Livingstone and Galloway (is he in the Labour Party?) say nice boy Fidel. Others less effusive. Hardly 'the Labour Party' although if you were to take a straw poll of the newer members ..
Anyway, free speech and all that ...;-)

"....... repressive leader who hated free speech and a free press. " - sounds like a hero of the left to me. The last year has demonstrated how much they hate democracy, no wonder Jezza loves him.
Question Author
Corbyn is the leader of the Labour party Ich, that's all I need to know.
Well you voted for him so you ought to :-)
Question Author
yes I cannot deny that as a Tory I am a fan of Jezza, I hope he is leader of the opposition for a long time.

\\Mr Corbyn praised the former Cuban president's revolutionary "heroism", his presence on the world stage and Cuba's health and education systems.//

Adolf Hitler was a controversial man but hey, he ran a great health service and education system.

And what about Mussolini, he got the trains to run on time.

You have to love Corbyn, he just keeps putting his foot or feet in it.

Dave.
Corbyn, asked about Castro’s human rights abuses – summary executions, decades of impoverishment, gays sent to concentration camps – replies: “There are problems of excesses by all regimes”. Mad.

Yet another un-electable Labour nut-case !

"One of the greatest benefits of the revolution is that even our prostitutes are college graduates"

Fiddle Castro.

Well at least you were going to get a good talking to.
That's all we need...thinking harlots.
I seem to remember that Mrs T was a devotee of the evil dictator General Pinochet, who had hundreds of thousands disappeared (killed).
I'm sure Castro had many faults, but mass murder on Pinochet's scale wasn't one of them.
Ah well, people have short memories, and an even shorter depth to their own personal morals :-)
some leaders praise Castro, some praise Savile.
Except praising Saville when nothing had been bought to book is different to praising Castro when you are in full possession of the facts.
