I'm sure they will fond some way of twisting the figures whilst they compl their way through yet another pummet.

But Project Fear said all doom would hit us after a vote out.

I think YMB has embarrassed himself by taking the headline to be positive when in fact it's quite plainly a negative. The headline could well have been

'Economy falls by 0.2% on last quarter, as service industry shore-up slides in construction, manufacturing and agriculture.'

I wonder if YMB would have been as quick to have posted that as a Brexit positive headline? Seems like he's fallen for the spin to me.

A slightly different take on the situation here:

It is reasonably good news in isolation (less bad than it might have been) but I'm not sure why the question says this news is bad news for Bremainers. The vote is over- regularly referring back to it, whether using sour grapes or gloating, doesn't change anything does it? Far better to look forwards I feel
f-f I quite agree is far better to look forward and plan for the future, different though it may be to that which was expected. Things happen, political or personal, and flexibility is always necessary. The problem here is that certain (powerful and influential) people do not accept this and are actively trying to change a democratically arrived-at decision. That is why terms such as 'Remoaners' are still in use, unfortunately, and why contradictions to the projected gloom are seized on so avidly.
The remainiacs need to make their mids up.

The economy is doing well, good news etc etc, and its "we haven't left yet".

Bad news, banks are leaving for Europe, the pound and the dollar exchange rate etc etc and its "because of brexit"
