I don't believe a five year old has the social consciousness to sprout off in depth, without prompting, about such issues.

I have already said that claims of prompting and possible precocity are fairly stated - I made it quite clear what I objected to.

As regards how her father dying of a brain tumour may have exposed her to more issues than other five year olds, in my experience that may well be true.

You can't hide everything from them whilst trying to keep the family going.

As far as I can see you objected to people calling her names – and in that I agree wholeheartedly with you. Her mother should be thoroughly ashamed of herself – as should the people who are lauding this.

Incidentally, I don’t know what sort of world your five year olds are exposed to but in my world 'Magic Wands' are most definitely not a thing of history to five year olds.

The 'Magic wand' thing was partly a joke, but having said that the five year old in my life knows magic is - whisper 'Not real Grandma, it's only for babies'.


I have no wish to further this as I think i have covered everything, if not to your exacting standards then certainly sufficient for mine just now.
