The article gives the impression that it was the first aiders who failed to come to his aid rather than the doctors
//If you work in a caring profession, the instinct to help someone who is hurt trumps 'protocol' any day. //

Haaaaaa!
I don't think that's relevant.

I am neither a doctor or a first aider, but when I saw an old man fall in the road and bash his head, I dialled for an ambulance and then went to see if I could help him and waited until professional help arrived.
sqad, I got your point. You're probably right.

Anyone know who the doctor is or even what nationality we are dealing with here?
If it had happened any where else, then he would have been given basic first aid and an ambulance would have been called. Whether he was registered or not is besides the point.
Youngmafbog do you have evidence to back that statement up?

What statement would that be?

YMB....well done for bringing race into this thread !
Thank you Mickey.
This one

Race isn't relevant here - and I don't know why AOG said 'our own' either. Anyone in that situation should have been treated.
No, we could guess Naomi but that would be silly wouldn't it?
Best not go there .....
Oh YMB...

Oh dear.
I did notice that the "our own" bit was AOG's not the Daily Mails.
