Well I wouldn't dismiss it.

Not sure why you would dismiss it so easily.

Whilst the age of the younger prostitute/escort is not known, Vaz jokes that "Someone will have to break him in tonight" indicating inexperience, and maybe yourh. I don't think we can safely say that someone interested in a legal teen man, will not be interested in an underage one.

Talbot...You are conflating two entirely different issues.

In the case of Richards, someone made a serious complaint, which was investigated but no evidence was found. Until some one else makes a complaint, that case is now closed

people have made complaints against Vaz or didn't you bother reading the link?

@ Talbot

I would dismiss it until anything concrete is proven.Vaz has been found out but we cannot condemn him for other possible sleazy activities. No evidence or need to bring paedophilia into this debate.
I dismiss it because I don't think it's likely to happen. You think otherwise. I just wondered what your reasons were, since you express them unusually splenetically for a Sunday morning.

Gromit, I don't think a (not uncommon) interest in virginity, which is what this appears to be, is the same as paedophilia.
agchristie
No evidence or need to bring paedophilia into this debate.

It isn't me who has made the allegations For Funks Sake.
Talbot....I have seen no evidence that Vaz has been accused of paedophilia, but you obviously have. Perhaps you would share it with us ?
Talbot, I've read your link but I don't see any names (of living people) on it.
Question Author
Talbot,I know that but where in your link does it express Vaz has engaged in paedophilia?
Talbot...it was you that first brought paedophilia into this discussion, at 10:27 this morning.
You can act as stopid as you want but it is common knowledge who the Labour MP in the link is.
Question Author
We all must be stupid then Talbot.
Talbot..like Agchristie, I can see no mention of Vaz in you gosspity link. It could be anyone or no one.

And I would be very careful of accusing anybody of paedophilia here on AB, or Ed may have to remove your contribution, in case it gives him and AB some legal difficulties.

Might as well be hung for a sheep than a lamb..

So a number of MP's have been in touch with the police over their concerns over the behaviour of no one?

Question Author
Talbot > So a number of MP's have been in touch with the police over their concerns over the behaviour of no one?

Nobody is disputing that.BUT,where is the evidence that it is Vaz they are referring to? It simply isn't there.
I can't see anything to justify his standing down, his problem is between himself and his family not the general public. He should do an Alan Clark, admit what he has done and then no one can touch him, he should tough it out.

He has done some good things in his career, the real sh*ts in this sad story are those who want to hurt him.
Question Author
Khandro > he should tough it out.

Alas,he hasn't taken your advice Khandro.
Khandro........I find it hard to agree with you on this. He offered to pay for a class A drug, which must be illegal in some form or another.

As to his not standing down, it is customary for an MP to stand aside when an accusation is made, while it is being investigated. He is a publicly elected Parliamentary representative and people must have confidence in their MPs ability to judge a situation. If these allegations are true, it would bring that ability to judge into question.
Question Author
@ Mikey

He has his lawyer on the case so we will know more soon enough.

(He was suspended before from the Commons for about a month wasn't he?)
