As i couldn't make up my mind, i asked my 4 adult children how they would wish me to vote. After all, it was their future i was voting for. I went with the majority. My conscience is clear.
It saddens me that those who have never known any different have not an ounce of respect for those who do.

I was talking to some of nieces childrens friends, all in the late teens early twenties and getting some of the you oldies don't care about us chat.I replied by saying that I assumed they voted in and was shocked to find that out of the whole group only two had bothered voting. They had the chance to have their say, didn't use it and now it's eveybody else's fault the result wasn't what they wanted
Democracy remains within the family - you vote where you heart and mind leads you. We accept there will be uncertainty for a while the younger people only live for the moment and panic needlessly.
That's typical, paddy.
I'm afraid it is the 'young' that need to look to themselves if they are unhappy with the result, as Paddy has said so many didn't even bother to vote. No one should be blamed for exercising their democratic right. The thing that has shocked me the most is the number of people that voted out but didn't think it would make any difference to the result which they thought was a remain certainty.
Ratty - that is what my son has just said to me.
Quite a lot of the Remain campaigners were rather nasty pieces of work and, as expected, are thoroughly bad losers. They are now dreaming up all sorts of dirty tricks to try to thwart the referendum verdict. This sort of behaviour has always been characteristic of the EU and its devotees. Witness the overturning of referendum decisions in Ireland and Denmark in years gone by.
How can anyone take heed of a referendum when thousands of false votes have already been found. How many more?
The young people who are blaming the older generation should look to their history. The generation they are blaming inherited a dysfunctional Britain after two world wars. Instead of blaming the previous generation they rebuilt their country, perhaps these modern day whingers could do the same?
I can't see that there is any excuse for vitriol, although I am sure that vitriol would be much in evidence if the vote had gone the other way.

We have discussed the issue of non-voters on AB before. Its fairly obvious that a lot of younger people didn't vote...if they had of done, the result would have been very different....more fool them !
Sorry Danny, false referendum votes, or do you mean petition?
Sorry, yes petition, apparently 700,000 falsified signatures.
Pesky youngsters, questioning and challenging.
A rerun may still come though......what with the mess as it stands at the moment, the Scots in position to block A50 constitutionally, and the leadership issues.

I suspect an Election may well be also an outcome.....

What is stopping the Conservatives from asking DC to stand as leader again and ratifying his leadership - as I think he may swing it fairly easily?
Yes Randy....but not voting in enough numbers it would seem.

People should either put up or shut up. If they have not exercised their right to vote, something half the world doesn't have, then they shouldn't be complaining.
DTC...I think that an early General Election, before May 2020 is a distinct possibility.
I really can't fathom why our young should look back in history to accept their future.
I am a pariah and have no right to an opinion now. I forgot to vote during the day, and was going to go with OH in the evening but fell asleep :(

there are issues with the referendum though - missing votes etc in Germany etc totalling they think over a 100k.

I would have thought a second referendum to approve the terms of release could well be in the offering - then, we would hopefully see the real cost of exiting - and the time could be bought to see if Sweden and Denmark break to create a UK-Nordic trading bloc that could also pull in one or two others such as Ireland and perhaps Portugal and the Neths.
