The House of Commons is in recess from 15 June to 27 June. Perhaps something to do with the referendum this coming week.

MP's are being recalled on Monday so they can collectively pay tribute to Jo Cox.
grumpy01, the question is why is parliament in recess at the moment? I hadn't realised it was either.
They returnt from the previous recess on 6th June so is it any wonder folk hadn't known they were in recess again?
I had a look at the recess dates in previous years and this is not a regular period so it must be connected to the Referendum.
O god a day of MPs competitively crying into their hankies ....

I think I will take a day off and go walking or something
THECORBYLOON, I think so too.
PP listening to the friends of Jo Cox, some of whom are MPs, it is clear she had a huge impact on those in Parliament and there was obvious emotion in their voices. It is a major incident impacting upon our democracy and it is right for Parliament to be recalled.
" have I got that wrong ? " - not you mikey!
Is it not something to do with ‘purdah’
The purdah began 27th May and Parliament sat for a week after that.
I don't see how Joanna Lumley comes into this!
I don't think Mikey can have been interested in getting an answer to his question. Not so much as a 'thank you'.
