'leave' Boosts Euro Vision?

About the only argument I have not heard about the EU referendum is the effect on the Eurovison song contest.
So what do we think? If we vote leave will it increase or decrease our chances of winning?
If we vote 'leave' can we leave the song contest as well?

If we threatened to stop paying for it, we'd win every year.
What puzzles me is that if Australia can participate in this event, why are they not eligible to join the EU? They are welcome to our place!

Israel are in it as well, they were there before Oz. But then they are nearer Europe.
Did I hear right? Did Graham say we pay more to ensure entry to the final?

The Russian song is on now, being sung in English !
Funny how few songs are sung in the native language. English wins on most occasions in that respect. What was the last 'Non English' winner?

Mammar, I think there are several 'original' countries which have been in Euovison from the beginning. They do not have to compete in the semi finals for an entry, they just go straight to the final. UK is one of the 'Original' country's so we go straight in.
That's alright then. I thought he meant we paid extra for the privilege of getti 'nul points'
