Eurovision is fixed as well. They'll let us win this year so the rest of the half-wits vote Remain.
want a tenner on that one, svejk?
//Eurovision is fixed as well\\

Where on earth did you get that idea from? ☺
King right. Give me your bank details and I'll send you the tenner.
All gamblaholics, these Remainers. Wonder what that tells us?
you never know.....well, we know the Irish have hit the rocks all ready......

Want a bet on the Greeks? - probably have an all-female group from the Isle of Lesbos as their contribution, singing an updated Hellenic version of Floyd's "Money"
Absurd, the Russians are odds on to win! Not political!!!! My ar***
think how many wars such as the 30 Years and the Peninsular War could have been solved by having Eurovision, never mind WW1
//think how many wars such as the 30 Years and the Peninsular War could have been solved by having Eurovision, never mind WW1 //

The Peninsular war was started by..... France and Spain invading and occupying Portugal, until the frogs turned on Spain. It took the Brits to sort em out , liberating Portugal and in turn Spain from the Napoleonic forces. Of course led by Arthur Wellesley.....1st Duke Of Wellington.

The 30 years War was a war in central Europe between Protestant and Roman Catholic factions but developed into a conflict between the French and Habsburg factions. Catholic France and Protestant Habsburg.... Austria.

The trigger for the WW1 was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, by Yugoslav nationalist Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. This set off a diplomatic crisis when Austria-Hungary delivered an ultimatum to the Kingdom of Serbia, and entangled international alliances formed over the previous decades were invoked.
Similar to the entangled treaties we have in place now. And as we speak the barbed wire goes up in Hungary and the old enmities in the Balkans surface, whilst they all persuade us to become Remainians, and eventually be sucked into their feuds but this time pay for it up front.
It's taken me ages to discover where my nearest bookies is. I found it on line, but my foot was so bad last week that I couldn't face walking there to place my bet on Brexit. I'll put my money down as soon as I can walk better.
I won £87 in August last year on an outsider at York races (my last bet). I feel a bit odd at the thought of going into a bookies, but I'll do it.
