Baz, now is not the time for pessimism.
OK, baz - if it's a prison camp, then it is a prison camp. I will wear my little badge with pride and rely on you lot to plead insanity in my defence!
We'' be wheeled there, or hobble there on our Zimmers - but we'll get there!
And so will I. Nothing but untimely death will prevent me from going to vote OUT.

I'm sorry, but the people round here don't see what damage may be caused by us leaving.

Britain has never surrendered to bullies.

Just more scaremongering from the Remain Camp, a spineless bunch.
Marshwarble - I think that is rhetoric and threats. In reality, the EU would have to deal with us etc.. They can threaten as they wish. They export more to us than we to them. (I haven't read the thread, by the way - this is first reaction.) I they are as nasty as that; do we want to be friends with them anyway? I'll read the thread tomorrow and see if I change my opinion - unlikely.
Threats? We stuffed the Kaiser, Hitler, Mussolini, Galtieri; and with God's help we will stuff Merkel, Hollande and all of Brussels.
The reality is that we would still trade with Europe (we did before we joined the EU), but our goods will be dearer, so we would sell less. Likewise, the stuff we import will be dearer, so the cost of living will rise.
We might save in annual subs, but the cost to the country might be dearer.
The eu will probably try to punish us even if the majority vote to stay in, but at least we can try and get out of this mess.

Nah. We have written agreements that cannot change if we stay in. They will try and punish us if we leave (i.e, tear up those agreements and replace them with less favourable ones).
Then let them do their worst. We will survive, free and independent.
I admire your optimism and trust Gromit .

I have not decided yet how I will vote, there is a good chance I will not vote In/Stay. But all our trade deals will have to be renegotiated, and the EU will will have the upper hand in those deals. They will punish us, and there will ge nothing we can do about it.

Why renegotiation and why should the EU have the upper hand?
if they try and "punish" us then they will be shooting off both thier feet ....tell them to stick their mercs, bmw's , renaults etc right where the sun doesnt shine...thats just for starters...we can bring the eussr to its knees and they know it...and i sincerely hope we do...how many more times does it have to be said "they need us" and desperately,,,whereas we dont need them at all and they know it
