That photo didn't do my vertigo any good at all, Canary! Weren't the people in the house lucky? A word with the surveyor they used before they bought the house would be in order, I think.
Oo-er !
I'll have nightmares tonight !
OMG shocking !

///The 300ft (92m) deep shaft at Scorrier was discovered when surveyors were checking the site for the sale of the empty house.///
Cornwall is full of holes like these !
Dear Liza dear Liza...

Well a ready made wine cellar. Lucky owners.
It's that Poldark's fault.

///The area is like a massive bit of Swiss cheese.///
mind boggling

One of my irrational fears is that I will fall donw a sinkhole/ mine head in my garding

and yes I have only bought a house where I know there is no mining

Mind you readers - the hole in cornwall is 300 ft deep !

What I think you will find readers - is that the concrete cap 6 to 20 ft wide has gone fwoop ! . It is OK if the top is V or funnel shaped
but here it wasnt
they put in a wooden roof strutty thing and laid the concrete on top but that rotted and the plug fell in

I will not sleep tonight !
Anyone heard from DTC today? ;)
