The African civilisations had survived for millennia before their lands were appropriated and made 'efficient' to Western standards.
And the living/working conditions weren't as cosy as your outmoded paternalistic notions would have you believe.
So now the African nations who have survived for millennia have unshackled themselves from the the burden and oppression of the white man.
The white man has not yet got rid of the burden of the black African nations though . How does a nation survive so long without water unless they get mugs to throw money at them and get white European nous dig wells for them.
Name me one car ,plane, designer and manufacturer.Look at the buildings of government house where the corrupt despot resides.

Have flicked through the replies to the slightly startling titlef put by the OP - I do wonder how many of those who answered have actually lived in Africa and particularly Zim. Of course there is racism against whites in Africa just as there is racism against blacks/brown/yellow/green/pink.
Until you have spent a long time in Africa (and sometimes not even then) it's impossible to comprehend the culture there. At the moment Mugabe is the main man in Zim - ergo -what he and his henchmen say - goes. That's not democratic, lawful or anything western society understands, however, that's the way it is.

rsvp - I love Africa too. I have been to the west (and north) and am not bothered if I never go back. But I love east Africa. I read a really good book a while ago which was written by a man who was brought up on a farm in Zimbabwe. His (white) parents are still living there against all odds. Maybe you have read it. I can`t remember the title.
This is hardly new, this has been going on ever since Mugabe came to power, over 20 years ago.
