Have you posted pics of your saucepans on line? Gawd knows what lowlife trolls etc are doing with them, yet another one of many reasons not to use facetube etc.

"Players take photos of children harvested from other people's accounts. They then post the stolen pictures to their own Instagram account with a new name and an imaginary storyline, inviting others to role-play being daddy, mummy or child."

Ye Gods!

I like steam trains and spend some of my spare time going to see them (and I actually help out on a Heritage Railway that preserves them). Some people refer to me as a nerd or an anorak. I expect some of them spend their spare time with this utter drivel (and no doubt complain that their "hectic lives" prevent them from spending any time broadening their children's minds).
I think this was a topic discussed last year , seriously weird stuff.
They aren't their own children though!! It's virtual...

It's not facebooks fault.
I think the point Tora is making ummmm is that they're somebody's children.
I was replying to this **(and no doubt complain that their "hectic lives" prevent them from spending any time broadening their children's minds).**

Sorry..

no ummm it's not their faulkt, facebook etc only exists because people use it, you can't blame them. I just think it's sad that so many people seem to want to live their live publicly.
Yes I know it's "virtual", ummm (or more accurately in this case, unreal drivel).

My point was that people faffing about with this nonsense will no doubt complain that they are too busy to raise their (real) children satisfactorily.
It is creepy and I would go further. I believe it is perverse. If people wish to share their every intimate and personal details with the world what the hell do they expect .People have lost their jobs through facebook. God knows what dangers are lurking out there. Are their kids worth it.?
I cannot imagine a parent virtually adopting someone else's child from harvested photos.
i've always thought it was iffy posting pictures of your children or using them for avatars. We all think our own kids are gorgeous,no need to tell the world. More importantly this kind of thing can happen.
I am appalled at this & bothered as to what it may lead to.
Didn’t someone on here use a fake child avatar?
Yes, Woof, and he left after it was pointed out. The site the pic came from was very dodgy.
i think there are a lot of super-super strange people - people who pretend to hve cancer, people who pretend they have lost children, people who pretend they are going to commit suicide nd so on. mongst that weirdness, this just seems like normal weirdness!
And where do saucepans fit into all this?
I was expecting to see reflections of naked people in saucepans, eBay style.
I felt it best not to ask.

There have been strange people around forever, they use whatever tools society has to offer at the time and of course over the ages that has changed.
No I dont post pics of my saucepans, mind you given they range from 22 to 31 probably not a problem for me.

Facebook and others are tools of the Devil.
I have saucepans that used to be my Grandmothers.

Facebook is not the problem - people are.
Saucepan lids. = kids cockney slang
