Washing Machine Spin Cycle Problem

Good afternoon.

I'm not happy with my washing machines spin cycle and doubt the manufacturers claim that it spins at 1400rpm so I phoned the shop who put me in touch with the supplier and then the manufacturers directly to the CEO of the company in Shanghai who in his broken english and whoever was translating was the most frustrating and confusing conversation I've ever had in my entire life. From what I gathered he was saying that each washing machine was tested with a laser to gauge it's speed before leaving the factory. I seriously doubt this as well as he was the CEO but there is no way to prove or disaprove this.

I asked him could he direct me to his youtube video so I could see the laser at work and was disconnected. Several phone calls later I was told the CEO was away for a week which I also doubt.

My questions are, are washing machines tested with a laser and if so where can I get one of these lasers to check my spin cycle itself?

The nearest manufacturer was Shanghai unless they gave me the runaround to phone china on one of their premium number scams when there was UK manufacturer just around the corner.

well there you go - wait until END OF 600 cycle and turn it to 1400 rpm - it will run about 10 minutes but clothes will be fairly dry. . Problem solved. Let me know

try google - and oh do people think they are SHANGHAI my a%se. GOOGLE IT - and maybe you will find other manufacturers may fix that for you.

I have to spin everything at 400rpm or the machine seems to take up a life of its own and crawls closer to the front door. Suits me as I don't have to iron anything, which is ideal as I do not have an iron. :-)

Couldn't even sleep.Oh well. Jennyjoan I'm not sure what you meant regarding Shanghai but I don't think another manufacturer would touch it with a bargepole as it's it's still under warranty to the manufacturer unless you paid through the nose. My washing machine can' preform those functions and I cannot for the life of me find the instruction booklet.
Wolf when my iron gave up the ghost I used a big pan filled with hot water as a makeshift iron. Something no doubt the health and safety brigade would ring their hands at but no more dangerous then the heavyweight iron we used to put on the coals before ironing.

Damned tablet has had be scrolling far right and left,up and down and zoom in and out but cannot find the medical or sickness categories. Does this site contain them?
