I have just found this statement on Facebook.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=891333210949099&;id=424982944250797

It related to an elderly lady who went missing and who has now been found dead.

Lack of communication may not be a factor in her death but it doesn't inspire confidence.

I am off to bed - or so my boy cat tells me. He wants his back scratched.

There's very little one can say about this, it's another dreadful story of inefficient communications that may well have been a factor in the death of this poor lady. How often does it have to happen before someone shakes-up the organisation of reporting sightings to the police on the ground?

I am not sure what the actual cause of their inability to pass messages on under this new police authority.

Locally our police are okay, I have very little contact with them these days but have not heard any negative comments about them. We are in the area once covered by Tayside police.

I do hope that this lady's death was not caused by the delay in finding her. We will have to wait and see. After the incident during the summer with the crashed car by the roadside more negative publicity is something that Police Scotland would have been hoping to avoid.
