Might the Mail run that as their headline tomorrow? ^
//Although Islamophobia already falls under the Racial and Religious Hatred Act of 2006, whereby it is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, Mr Miliband’s proposal would allow authorities to hand down tougher sentences for similar crimes.//
So if you are Jewish and you can't see why in a free country your synagogue needs barbed wire and police protection against muslim extremists and you say what you think, what will the "tougher sentence" be, Life with hard-labour? (pun intended)
In the same article it says, 'The Labour Party’s manifesto has said it will toughen hate crimes law on disabled, homophobic and transphobic offences.' The Pink News and Gay Times have mentioned the pledge, so it is not only about Muslims.
Easily Led Ed, and his party of closet paedophiles will bring you a Rotherham in every city (the few that remain) at the same time as gridlocking the police service with more undefined nonsense law to deal with as priority (like their last horrific term in office).
They'd be in a tizzy with this girl next year; http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/calls-tory-council-candidate-gulzabeen-afsar-quit-after-jew-miliband-facebook-post-1498401
Unless she was a kipper, of course. She'd be in cell block H before she knew it.
