Old news I'm afraid aog :-) New Judge told us about Ronnie Carroll on Graudian's thread yesterday and Tony and I put records on by these two artists on Mamya's thread last night. I'm very impressed with how you have put two records on one thread, how do you do that? xx

Blimey how have you managed to get two YouTube links on there, aog ?.
Ronnie had a nice voice but Roses are Red was originally Bobby Vinton's song and that's the one I remember. Apparently they were both released in Britain and Ronnie's version did better.

I apologise for the duplication, I was unaware that these two deathshad been reported on AB before.

How did I get two youtube clips together, I simply posted one link in the youtube window and the other one in the main window.
Thanks aog.

Ah can see now why I was unaware that this had already been entered, one was in the Music section and the other in ChatterBank.

Can't be expected to search through all the sections and subsections, before one posts a thread.
Percy Sledge gave away the rights to 'When a Man Loves a Woman' to two band mates...cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I don't think I could ever be that generous.

Good man.

Have to admit though, I've never heard of Ronnie Carroll. Will have to look him up...

You don't have to, AOG. Simply type Percy Sledge or Ronnie Carroll in the search box, it will search all topics for you.

it hasn't brought up any Related Posts link, which might have helped. Is that function still working?
What hasn't, jno?
RIP Ronnie. What's interesting is that he wasps standing for election in Hapstead and Kiburn as The Eurovisionary candidate. Apparently his name is on the ballot paper and people can still vote for him!

And is that the procedure you also go through, before entering each and every question of your own?
In the main...yes!

I do too, Talbot. Especially when it is sort of, breaking news and, I might have picked it up late.
AOG - you learn some thing new every day, I didn't know you could use the search box like that! In fact I am not sure I even registered it's existence. Thanks for that it will save me a lot of time trawling for stuff.
Apologies that should read Talbot :-)
I remember he was once married to ("That was the week that was") Millicent Martin.
I wasn't having a go at you aog hence the smiley face and the kisses. I was going to put it on myself yesterday but I put Percy Sledge in the search and Graudian's thread came up in Music. It's not something I do for everything I put on though.
I used to have a poster of Ronnie Carroll on my bedroom wall.

RIP Ronnie.

RIP Percy.
Talbot, I meant that this thread hasn't. Usually if you're posting on some topic, a stream of Related Topics will tell you it's already been covered. That hasn't happened here. So there's no reason aog would have been alerted that these deaths had been mentioned before.
