richard.
Nationwide polls gave here a clear in the televised debate.

// Overall her net best/worst ratings exceeded every other candidate. And these were nationwide polls. Given that the vast majority of people watching at home will never have seen her in action before, this was an incredible result and will only cement the SNP's expected gains in the general election. //

"English voters that the prospect of the SNP having any influence in government is a terrifying spectre" - yes terryfying, she didn't convince me.
so far as i am aware, ms sturgeon is not standing in any constituency in this next general election. yet there seems to be a general acceptance that she will be able to exert influence (whether considerable or otherwise remains to be seen) if the election results in a hung parliament.

why is it OK for an unelected and unaccountable person to be in such a position?
She is leader of a party which might get 40+ MPs. The MPs are accountable.

It is not unusual for the Cabinet to contain unelected and unaccountable members. We have recentltly had Baroness Warsi. The last Government had Adonis and Mandelson.

"Terryfying"?
Nicola?
She is a wee Scots lassie.
Where's your backbone!
