I always feel sorry for children that grow up with ignorant parents.
When I was a child I played with people regardless of colour etc. Edinburgh is a snobby city and when I brought home a 'poor' person I was asked by mother to get rid of him.

I am going to support AOG here. Not every post has to result in blood and guts flowing down the keyboard ! I wasn't aware of this sad story, and now I am, thanks to AOG. In addition, the debate seems to have broadened out a bit

My point is: I suspect that aog's post is the opposite of which you would of liked or expected from him.

There's plenty to debate here. The mere fact that a child has written the letter to her friend is cause enough to be concerned about the influences children like her are still exposed to and the unchanging attitudes of a supposedly progressive society. If you don't like the thread don't disrupt it - just stay away and leave others to contribute as they see fit.
