I never have tea out of the house, because I like it weak and black, and nobody else ever gets it quite right.
Yes!
Yes I never buy tea out. It has to be in MY bone china mug
Tea is never the same outside your own home. Different water, tea bags or, God forbid, semi skimmed milk instead of the proper stuff.
I wont drink tea anywhere other than home as its never how I like it. Don't mind horrible coffee but not tea, and the first cup in the morning is the very best of the day.
Has to be a builders tea for me. The PH of the water has to be around 9-10 (so slightly alkaline).

One of life's pleasures
I've never drunk tea...the thought of it makes me feel sick! Only coffee and hot choc for me.
Our favourite greasy spoon cafe makes lovely tea. A bacon and egg baguette and a mug of tea is one of life's little pleasures.
Sorry to nick your phrase, Sam!
Yes, I make my own at work.

Mmmmm Tilly2, a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea !
anneasquith: You'd be surprised at how many people test the PH of their water. Obviously you're not going to walk around with litmus paper when going into cafes or restaurants.
...all the mains water is slightly alkaline. If the pH was less than 7, corrosion would be a major problem - not least for the water mains themselves....they would simply dissolve away in no time.
Yes, if I go to my Sister's in Somerset. The water is so heavy. My Tea making skills are legendary!
I prefer coffee when I'm out anywhere and I like to make my own tea at home.
