..and I'm absolutely devastated and will miss her terribly, as not only was she "To all the world one mum, to us she was all the world", she was also my best friend. The funeral was only yesterday and this is the first time I've been back on here amongst ABers since earlier this year (no-one noticed my absence!). I'm heartbroken.

So sorry for your loss, 888.
Sorry to hear about your loss, I can imagine how devastated you are. All things raw at the moment so it will take time for the pain to ease. Modest help knowing that of course but you must allow yourself time to grieve and that is so difficult I know. Keep in touch here, there's so many kind hearted and caring folk, it will help. One day at a time and you will begin to get through it. My thoughts are with you.
I'm so sorry, it's such a heartbreaking part of life. You have memories to treasure and believe me in time you'll be ever so grateful for the.

It speaks volumes for the relationship you had with your Mum, the way you talk about her. She left her mark and that's all anyone can hope for...

Take your time and take care x

(I'm sure you were missed x)
My deepest sympathies to you, of course you are heartbroken. It is still very raw and will take a long time to get used to her not being there. My Mum died 20 years ago and I still think about her every day, but now I remember all the good times, times really does ease the pain a little. Keep her memory alive by talking about her. Come on here for a chat when you are feeling low, there are plenty of people who will help you x
Your grief is real and raw - allow yourself some time, all the while remembering the wonderful person she was.

You were missed.

Time blunts the emotions eventually. Sorry to hear you are in this position. Hang in there and it does get easier.
Sorry to hear this; take heart in all those wonderful memories that you have and those around you....
Big hugs, 888 - I know how it feels. I cried for a fortnight when we lost our mum 13 years ago. It will get better, but give it time, and be kind to yourself.
Sorry for your loss 888. A very sad and difficult time to get through.
pls accept my sincere condolences, your world must be turned upside down, it does get easier as the days go buy, but it never heals and you never forget someone you really love they stay in your heart forever. Your mum will always watch over you.
Sorry for your news 888. My parents both died over 30 years ago and both are still missed you never forget them but after a while things do get easier.
So sorry for your loss 888. It's just over a year since I lost mine and it hurts like hell. It's getting a bit easier... My thoughts are with you and try and stay strong xxx
Sorry for your loss, 888 but glad you had a great relationship with her and such lovely memories xx
I have no words for they are inadequate at such a time...a big hole in your heart that hurts like hell...one day at a time and remember all the good times xx
Talk about her to anyone who will listen. It will break your heart you all over again but it will help in the long run. Cry as much as you need to.
I am sorry 888 , I send you condolences and hugs. In time as others have said, the pain will shift and you will remember her and smile more.
I lost my mum just over 5 years ago, and I still have a little weep for her. Time does ease the loss 888, and be thankful that you had close and a loving relationship with your mother. In time you will realise, like me, that everyone goes through this eventually, but the happy memories remain.
