If anyone should complain it is those who want to buy a white doll, why are they more expensive?

I see, so people who challenge you are now ..."trolls".

Let's see if I can steer you away from your obsession with "nasty old me" and actually try to debate further with what I just said, what is your response, may I ask to this:

Yes, some of our ethnic minorities do complain, the difference is that they have had to suffer years of the most diabolical prejudice violence and oppression.
'they' meaning their forefathers. Things have changed a lot since then and you don't get grandfather rights on oppression.
So, getting back to the original OP (I know not as much fun as pulling each others hair and comparing willy's) the consensus seems to be it was much simpler when you could call a Black person Gollywog or 'N'. Asians 'P's ',French froggy 'B''s, Chinese and Japanese ''Ch's'. Anyone not liking it could P off pack 'home'. That would work when the ethnic minorities were fisrt generation, but you can't tell someone who is third generation black to P off back 'to the Jungle' can you? That's why Laws have been passed.
I am multicultural -French Canadian father, English mother ,English & french grandparents, I have 2 children French citizens , one English and one Canadian -you can call me all the racist names you like and believe me their are plenty, but call my child born in the UK a little froggy B and I will probably maim you ;-)
I don't understand why sp has a problem with skin colours either.
He appears to be the one living example that the multicultural experiment hasn't failed completely, why he has even picked up on one of this once great nations less palatable traits. It's called "snobbery". Maybe sp means "Snobbish Prig"!!
You don't have to delve that far back into history to see a LOT of nasty oppression and prejudice, it has got better but it is still going on.
Willy's what?
Answerpracer feel free to correct my English, I should of said Penis but was not sure of the plural not having seen more than one at a time ;-)
Peni (pronounced "pee-nye") tee hee!
Thankyou Answerprancer that will come in very handy should I be invited to an orgy. ;-)

No only those who stand on the byline, ready to make inappropriate and often rude comments that add nothing to the debate.

"nasty old me" oh I see you have now personalised it towards yourself, that's much better because I didn't mean "everyone".

We have already covered this point, but that is no reason for them to go on continuously complaining.

Likewise if anyone called my great-grandchildren B Brits, then I as old as I am would be in there.

In closing though, I didn't realise that "Froggy" along with "Kraut", "Aussie", "Yank", "Jap", "Brit", "Itie" were racist expressions since they are not as no, no words as some are, I wonder why this is?

Blimey! Just 'forgive and forget' all the atrocities, some of which happened fairly recently in history?

What about the fact that it still goes on, only more insidiously?
AOG, have you watched 12 years a slave?
AP
Well said. It is indeed insidious and atrocious that black and Asian dolls are sold at a lesser price than white dolls. Here. Here.

'ATROCITIES' ????????????????
Please give some examples then we can discuss them.

Well, for a start all but one of those terms are used to describe people who are the same race, I'd call that 'xenophobia' really. I wouldn't classify the term "Jap" as particularly insulting though ...that would be "Nip" afaik.

Assuming you are referring to words like "n199er", "Pakkie" or "ch1nk" - then yes, I would say they are MUCH more of a "no no" because they are usually used by the intolerant white to insult people who ARE from different races.

Well Stephen Lawrence comes to mind for one thing.
I'd call that fairly atrocious.

/// AOG, have you watched 12 years a slave? ///

No I haven't that is why I am against such films as they only incite more ill feeling of things that happened in a different age.

White people were also slaves, and even at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution they wasn't treated much differently, but then perhaps that is why the 'Left' have a certain thing against 'TOFFS', but then on second thoughts that may be all down to a deep rooted jealously.
AOG - I think those words are a lesser evil than the P and N words because they don't have social or political overtones. I doubt anyone would be taken seriously if they went into a Police station screaming 'racial abuse' because they'd been a called a Froggy B

I'm not sure why you have made the following statement:

"I don't understand why sp has a problem with skin colours either.
He appears to be the one living example that the multicultural experiment hasn't failed completely"

However, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to once again exercise my new years resolution of not being personally abusive to someone when they write something I find irritating on AB.

I'm up to 23 days so far.

I shall be awarding myself a medal at 365 days.
