She has ... "had her testicles removed" ...

No turning back now, then!

Exactly it doesn't do this surgery so why should we.
Our usual ladies like to show their great display of compassion and largesse again. Why are Cameron and Milliband proposing large cash injections if they are re elected to the NHS if the NHS was not cash strapped?
This bloke was born with male genitalia. If it wags it's tail, lives in a kennel and barks I call it a dog. This bloke was born a HE not a SHE. If he want's his dreams fulfilled then go to Disneyland. I wonder if our generous ladies on AB would like to sponsor this male if he reaches these shores and pay for this non emergency treatment from their own pockets!!
Just-Jude - bigots? to make a comment that elderly and sick are dying on gurneys in NHS hospital corridors because the service is under funded and can't cope? Thats ok then -whats a few dead grannies as long as Yankee doodle without his dandy can come and get major unnecessary surgery at the UK tax payers expense.
This type of surgery (along with cosmetic boob jobs, such as the one that dreadful woman in Leeds had) should be funded by the individual.

Just as an aside, I have personally known three men who had such surgery and became women. All three regretted it and all three committed suicide.
Retrodope -I'm obviously not a 'lady' then
How is a man who wants to be a woman "ruining" the country?
Mrs O -really? -OMG that's so sad. :-(
Blimey, she looks pretty good as a woman http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/real_life/6278277/Meet-the-American-who-wants-to-come-to-UK-for-free-sex-op-on-the-NHS.html?CMP=spklr-131495321-Editorial-FBPAGE-The%20Sun%20-%20thesun-20150120-Women I think it might be wishful thinking on her part though. It`s not easy for an American to get work here unless they have some sort of skill that is needed. She also says that she might get a job with a US company who MAY then transfer her - also not easy.
Before we all implode with apoplectic rage, have you noticed the words:

Giana Lopez, 25, is PLANNING a move to Britain to claim NHS gender surgery

She will TRY to secure a working visa or an employment transfer to London.

As for some of the comments, this world will be a better place when those who have expressed them have shuffled off......

Retrochic - yes really. I am talking about this happening over the course of 20 years....not all at once....and none of them knew each other
Hang on a sec, you were complaining that we were being "dragged back to the third world"... and now you want us to emulate the third world? Which one is it?

What you and so many others fail to realise, retrocop, is that "gender" is more than just a biological thing. It's a state of mind, too.

wow wasn't it you last week that had your avatar as 'je suis charlie' ? what happened to the right to free expression? maybe you should join the jihad
It a bit pie in the sky anyway, he can't just move here, he'll need a visa and for that he'll need a job and all the rest of it.
// another example of the throwaway terms used by the liberal left do-gooders //

:-D
I know of two transgender males to females -one had the operation one hasn't,they both seem happy - I've even had fashion advice from one of them which really says something about my wardrobe lol!
Three "men" committed suicide after having the surgery, what's that supposed to prove?
It makes me VERY angry. A few years ago, I had to have skin taken from my eyelids (NOT a cosmetic reason and NOT a brow lift). The surgeon said at the time, I would need I doing again in a few years. Well that time has come but when I went to my GP, he said "Not a chance that they'd do it on the NHS now". So yes I DO mind. Very much.
Just-Jude - it proves that having the surgery did not solve their mental health issues

It would be a strange person who expected everyone to have the same opinion on her wish to have surgery here....and a discussion could make for interesting views being exchanged.

But it's difficult to discuss or put an opinion when posts such as Retrocop's at 14.08 appear.....crude and ill informed.
