Since all we are constantly told to be vigilant, would it not be wise for Britain to consider troops patrolling certain areas also?

Do you mean troops should occupy those areas of the UK that have a large Asian community?
How would troops know what vehicles are likely to plow into members of the public?
No!

next question.
If one feels a need to employ armed military in civilian areas one is effectively admitting the situation is out of control. I can't see how one can claim this is necessary in any part of the UK at present.
Which areas would you suggest AOG?

These attacks seem to have been quite random.

One of the attacks in France was by a white male with no religious affiliations.

Therefore, perhaps AOG means that troops should be deployed all over the country, rather than just in predominantly Asian communities.

When I put "certain areas", I thought some sensitive types would soon latch on the Asian/Black communities etc, and you have not proven me wrong.

If those who are quick to attach some kind of racist accusation, may I suggest they first read the BBC report.

/// France is to step up police and military patrols in areas frequented by the public following recent attacks, Prime Minister Manuel Valls has said. ///

"Areas frequented by the public" no mention of the ethnicity/colour of the public in these "Areas", but I suppose he meant Shopping Malls, Airports, Train Stations, Bus Stations, Markets etc.

/// No!

next question. ///

And my next question is, when are you going to cease being rude?
Surely "certain areas" should be the places likely to be attacked, like shopping centres, rather than areas where Muslims live.

Unless you are considering some form of internment?
Also "no"
Don't see the point, and not sure I see the point of what the French are doing either, other than a cosmetic "seen to be doing something" gesture after a series of possible copycat attacks by loonies

Anyone who installed troops into British cities would come under my umbrella of "nutters". A ridiculous idea.
Ulster is British.
Surely "certain areas" should be the places likely to be attacked, like shopping centres, rather than areas where Muslims live." Yes, I thought that was obvious as well.

Unless you are considering some form of internment? Or, unless you automatically think 'racism' and bring in the 'predominantly Asian communities' hysteria into it straight away.

now all these scum jihadists are being called " nutters " mentally ill....does that mean they will be let off lightly ?

world going mad
I agree AOG, I don't know why some people are programmed to think racism straightaway but as we see again its been brought up again at an early stage.
