Gromit - "I do not know why people post pictures of themselves on Twitter? Is ait a form of showing off? And if you do post a picture, then you are liable to comments, whether they are good or bad. I guess that is how it works."

That's absolutely how it works!

If you are unaware enough to think that blacking up still represents anything within a mile of humour, than you are probably egotistical enough to think that the world cannot survive without sharing your vision.

//Baldric - "Weyman Bennett doesn't seem to apply that distinction Andy, so thank goodness you and your superior knowledge are here to guide me."

If you had made it clear with your post that you were pointing out the fatuousness of Mr Bennett's observation, then I would not have posted as I did.

No need to be sarky, where's your Christmas spirit?//

Christmas Spirit is in Bottles in Diner!
I don't see it as racist,simply a display of a lack of imagination when deciding on fancy dress.
Baldric - "Oops, forgot to say Thank You!"

No problem -you are most welcome!
One paper described it as 'shocking behaviour' ! My God, the world's finally gone mad !
This is barmy.
""Weyman Bennett doesn't seem to apply that distinction". Correct, he spends most of his life trying to invest racism & whipping up racial tension when there is none.

He started verbally abusing group of shocked south American tourist in London one day when the UAF fascist were upto their usual street violence.
Some of them spoke in Spanish, Bennett thought they were Italian ! got on his tanoy started calling them all Italian nazi's and that Mussolini would be proud of them etc etc. (he then obviously accused the police of being racist scum when they tried to calm the coke fuelled animal down).

Lol @ Douglas at 09.24 that just about nails it. I wonder how many black people are really offended by this. I've sat in the sun for hours over the years trying to get a nice coffee colour, I suppose I ought to stop just in case I get nicked for impersonation....
I really wish the self-righteous politically correct brigade would get over themselves. This constant hoo-ha gives the impression that black people are ashamed to be black! It does nothing whatsoever to eradicate racism. If anything, it exacerbates it.
I agree, Naomi. Now this is really racist. Fancy showing white people how to be powerful;

The mind boggles!
