They ought not get child benefit because they have no child here. They pay taxes and NI for themselves. (In fact it is questionable whether anyone should get child benefit, our population is quite high enough already. But that's a different thread.)

The main bread winner used to pay less tax when they had children. Family allowance replaced this so the money went to the main carer.
Ric.ror....what about the cost of living? Some countries are much cheaper to live in.
Well some people will get more for their euro's then won't they!
