Should have stayed in Libya and joined the Camel Corps !!
why are they even here ? do we have enough resources to train our own even ?
Apparently 'The UK Government announced last year it had offered to train up to 2,000 cadets to ensure Libya's transition to democracy and its security'
Nice way to repay us eh? and a glimpse into their cultural attitudes to women (although I believe one victim was male).
Pity for some of them if a handful have messed things up for the majority. Apparently none of them were very keen on taking orders though. lol.
I think it's called 'biting the hand that feeds you'!
It would appear they need to learn manners, decency, common Western values for law and order and decorum before having democracy delivered to them.

Never had these sorts of problems with Gurkha colleagues when based over here!
Are the two charged with raping a man not in a good position to avoid being sent back by claiming political asylum? Homosexuality is frowned on in the Arab world and they could argue that they risk life and limb back home now that their true proclivities are known.

bit gormless -

this occurred a few y ago when some Saudi cadets got another completely rat-a++ed and then had their evil way with him. Repatriated and disappeared from view.
Just 2 miles from my house. We are the nearest town and have the nearest pub. People living beside the barracks have been scared to go out. A friend of mine was working at the barracks in the kitchens, now he and all the other civilian workers have been escorted off the site and told their jobs are gone. Soldiers from Scotland have been to do the jobs as they say they can not guarantee civilians safety.
and now a bunch of them are asking for asylum....what a surprise...not
This lot have been out of control since they arrived. Remember they rioted because they were told they couldn't to to Tesco to buy a load of alcohol back in the summer. When they eventually did they spent £1,000 on alcohol and caused more havoc. The agreement was that Lybia fund the training and they haven't paid a penny. Now our troops are having their leave stopped so they can help the police to control them. They are queuing up to claim asylum.

Quote: The troops were hand picked by the British Army to be trained to provide leadership for their war torn country.

What is the government doing??!!
