"Nothing sinister, just a man in the wrong place at the wrong time", "Briefly arrested", "No threats were made", "man's details were checked", "de-arrested" and allowed on his way.

Ah now that is nice, such a typical English approach.

De-arrested and likely to have been told to 'jog on'!

Cameron did a neat 'side step'. We shall no doubt see him on the next series of 'Strictly'.
Do you think Dave will now contact one of those injury at work specialists? Surely there could be a few quid in it, bound to have sustained whiplash and emotional trauma in this horrendous attack...
The world was a different place back then, Blackadder.
Having watched the footage on Sky News this afternoon, that was frankly shocking. Whoever trains/drills these guys needs the sack, as do the CP team.
An RMP CP Team(affectionately known as 'Organic Sandbags' by the rest of us) wouldn't have allowed that bloke to get within 10 yards.
DC was left frankly badly exposed and totally left on his own for vital seconds.
The CP team were shambolic, and that's being kind.

Complacency comes to mind!

Organic Sandbags describes the Job quite well imo!
Is the pm highly training in self defence or a martial art? Just a thought seeing how easy this person got so close to him.
*trained
Tee-Hee.
Cameron said that his protectors did a good job!

Would he have said that if he had been assaulted?
