Can anyone tell me how bombing Islamic State fanatics in northern Iraq will make Britain safer from attacks?
To me this will only inflame the issue.

This lot are on another level when it comes to terrorism. They`re practically a brainwashed cult who are using Islam to act out their bloodthirsty fantasies and they will be more than happy to recruit locally based factions around the world. Dipomacy won`t work - you can reason with people who are brainwashed. The only way to deal with the situation is to kill the lot of them by whatever means. It would be nice to see more countries lending their firepower instead of it being left to the UK/US as usual.

This is war and consequently we should adapt to war like situations, first the introduction of ID cards, and before you start "Yes but they could easily be counterfeited", so could £20 notes, but not many are or we would be in a pickle.
Then we should secure all our borders, and not to be afraid of increasing our security in case we offend certain sections of the community.
I am sure that our security services are in fact working away even as we speak, and so far we are fortunate that nothing yet has happened, but that does not mean it will stay that way if we go into their lands all guns blazing.

That would be so if we were fighting a known enemy in their own country, and they all wore a uniform to identify them, but we are not.
We are fighting an unrecognisable foe who lives in numerous countries, have we not learned a lesson from fighting the Taliban in just one country Afghanistan, did we wipe 'THEM' from the face of the Earth?
