As advised, I am happy to debate as robustly as the next person, but I don;t set out to offend or upset people - and naiomi knows this as I have apologised directly to her on more than one occasion.

I am upset to find that some of my fellow AB'ers think that I would be rude on purpose, and lie my way out of it.

Hopefully we can draw a line, and move on.

I believe in everyone having their say - even if what they say upsets me, it does not negate right of the posters to express their opinions.

I would not wish to suspend them for stating their views, even though I am disappointed that regulars appear not to know me any better than to think I am an offensive liar.

I read that as kvaldir disagreeing with your opinion that my post was rude, and offering me support - my thanks was for her support, at a time when I appeared to be under fire from several directions.
