Kanye West has managed to turn being an ignorant moron into an artform all of its own.

Here, he even surpasses his usual boorish behaviour by insisting that everyone in his concert audience stand up before he will perform a song.

He zeros in on two individuals who are not standing, while the crowd chant and boo at them.

It turns out that one fan is wheel-chair bound, and the other has a prosthetic limb, so West continues his set.

My view is - if an artist advised me he was not going to continue until i stood up, I would remain seated on principle - I stand when and if I wish, not otherwise, and certainly not because I am instructed to do so from the stage.

Leaving aside the tastelessness of this behaviour - does anyone agree that no musician can bully their audience into behaving the way they want? Do we have a new ABEd? Or a stan in while the real Ed is away.

There seems to be a lot of posts being removed for stupid or no reason of late?
I'm past caring, gromit.
Listen to the man Randy. PLEASE don't get him started.

Thank you douglas.

In fact the printing of the words 'former Beatle' and 'Sir Paul McCartney' has brought on one of my 'heads',

I might have to have a lie down and a rubdown with a damp copy of the NME!

This is a new low in concert etiquette.

Irritating: The artist who shouts "Everybody clap your hands" (I will clap if I feel like it).

Annoying: The artist who holds his/her mic out to the audience for us to sing along (I paid £130 to hear *you* sing! not me! thank you).

Ridiculous: The artist who tells everyone to stand.

Sidebar, when I typed the above, my iPad tried to change 'hands' to 'nads'. Noticed a split second before posting.
What would you lot do if you went to see Chic and they played "everybody dance"?
you lot

Or Van Halen insisting that the audience "might as well jump / go ahead an jump".

Very dangerous for those on the upper tiers of the O2 Arena.
I've never heard of this oik (thought at first you were talking about the bit of Florida that points down towards Cuba).

Seems to me (as has been mentioned) that if people are stupid enough to be told what to do having shelled out (presumably) inflated sums to see what is euphemistically termed a "concert" then they deserve all they get. His subsequent audience numbers should be zero. But they won't be.
Why have two Anotheoldgit's answers been removed?

The first one he had kindly found a clip to inform readers who did not know this artist.

The second one explained that the clip had been banned.

Now both answers have been removed.

If our answers are going to be removed for no good reasons then I am not sure why we should continue contributing?
I thought you were a part time Ed yourself gromit, has their been a regeme change?

RandyMarsh - "What would you lot do if you went to see Chic and they played "everybody dance"?"

I would dance like mu life depended on it!

I met Nile Rogers yesterday, and told him that when I was a club DJ in the '70's, if the floor was a bit slack, any Chic record would fill it in seconds.

He is, officially, The Coolest Man Alive - believe me!!!
Gromit

Thanks for that Gromit, I wonder if you will get an answer?

Hope you are able to read this before this is also removed.
I will confess that I had never heard of this chap until I clicked on the link.

And why was OAG's posts removed ?

And is this "News" ? Shouldn't Andy have posted this under pop music ?
Question Author
I posted it under News because it has been carried by news media worldwide.
That is fine Andy....I meant no criticism. But I just think that it gives this essential trivia an importance that pop music rarely deserves. I can find no mention of this story in the BBC News website though.
music is incredibly important....

i like some of kanye's music but the man is a prize ***. You would have to pay me - a lot - to go to one of his concerts
AOG
When I recently posted objecting to one of my posts being removed, that was also removed. So don't hold your breath for an explanation.

Just hope he/she improves from their dismal start.
I would have left the concert and demanded a refund, not that I would ever think to attend one of Yeezus' concerts in the first place! Any man who calls himself that needs a serious slapdown in my opinion.

It could also be said that we have a 'Politics' sub section on the 'news' section.

Does anyone use these two sub sections, Current Affairs & Politics?
