I hope that if his prognosis is good he's treated locally and if he's known to be terminal then he and his family are left in peace to do what's right for them as a family. Either way I hope the Police treat this with tact, sympathy and diplomacy.
If the little boy is terminal perhaps his parents wanted him in the bosom of his family for the final days, some love and tenderness. We really don't know all the facts on this so perhaps best not to judge
Yes, it's probably best not to judge the parents who took him away from the best possible care he could receive. (?).
Who knows what despair and panic may grip your heart when a hospital tells you there is nothing more they can do for your child?
How do you know they said that?
//I hope the Police treat this with tact, sympathy and diplomacy. //

I hope the authorities do what is in the best interests of a five year old who has no choice in the matter. Sod diplomacy and sod the parents!
We don't Zac, that's the point.

Yes it's probably best not to judge Zacs. There is more to life (and death) than 'the best possible care' aimed at prolonging something which is inevitable. Maybe they wanted his death to be a more private and intimate affair to make it more bearable for them ( and him) rather than being stuck in a hospital bed waiting for the awful outcome that everyone knows is coming, with all and sundry around trying fruitlessly to make the most awful situation better.
According to the DT they didn't say that mamya. They said he had a good chance of recovery with professional medical care.
Why "sod the parents?"
I'm sorry, you've lost me, what point?
It was in one of the reports I read and to be fair, the media reports are all we know about the situation.

It was said that after that news they determined to find somewhere that could offer more treatment - a search for an impossible miracle no doubt, but who wouldn't try.
//Sod the parents//- crass and unthinking as ever I see.
Yes, to the best of my knowledge his condition wasn't terminal.
//Why "sod the parents?" //

If they are making decisions on his behalf that are not in his best interests, then their wishes should be overridden.
It is the little boy who is the priority, not his parents.
Comes across as heartless, Naomi.
Ummmm, If it's heartless to put a child's life above the wishes of his parents, then fine. I'm heartless. I can live with that.
On the contrary, it's his parents who are heartless.
at 22.33 I posted, '' this child is dying '' I wish to retract my post/
