Tilbury Docks Illegal Immigrants

I have just listened to Channel 4 TV news. Apparently all surviving illegal immigrants have applied for Asylum in this country. No surprise there then is there? It is claimed,by a Sikh spokesman, who lives in Southall, that all the illegal refugees have relatives living in Southall and had probably told them that Great Britain was a "welcoming and accomodating country". For that you can interpret as "Great Britain is a soft touch who will supply you with all you ask for paid for by the generous British taxpayers". It was also stated that Afghanistan had become more stabilised and thus a legitimate exit visa was more difficult to come by and that is why they chose the ILLEGAL path !!!
So in the words of ymb.Can you lentil crunching leftie hand wringing Islington set justify their illegal entry into this country ?
In the words of one of their own Sikhs living in Southall..(A) They came to Great Britain because they already have relatives here. (B) They were probably told of our generous handouts to those who are NOT entitled to in the first place. (C ) As Afghanistan is becoming more stable it is more difficult to obtain a exit visa as they are not endangered and fleeing for their lives as persecuted people. It rather shoots out the water the theory that they must be desperate to risk their lives to better themselves in this country IMO. If they were that desperate ,due to persecution in Afghanistan, they would of been very glad to seek asylum in the first European country who would grant them safety and refuge regardless of family ties in this country. Incidentally. I have also learnt that an ambulance call out costs the taxpayer £221 each.These illegals had a fleet of them at their disposal. They got their health checks at great cost to the NHS now do as the Canary Isles do. Put them on a boat straight back where they came from and let them feel grateful that they were not sent back in a sealed container. Forget costly immigration asylum processing and appeals. Just send them back where they come from. Other European states can do it and then so can we.

So the State (Tax payers) are paying then. And housing do we force them on the street, no we would pay for that on top.

Send them back. They are illegal, we know where they come from so we can send them back - at least to Belgium.

And on the humanitarian points, surely we should be discouraging this dangerous practice. Granting them leave to stay in the country will only encourage more into containers with the inevitable disastrous consequences.

Just a tiny thought about free health checks.....I'd see them as money well spent if they prevent the spread of infectious disease.
Can debate now focus a little more on the barstewards who had their money off them, and less on saying ahead of events how worthless these people are?

The secret is in the word 'ILLEGAL', so they are criminals and as such should lose all rights of being able to claim asylum, and consequently be interned until arrangements can be made to return them from whence they came.

If it has'nt already come to your notice we abolished capital punishment in the UK too many years ago. It never was a capital offence to enter another country ILLEGALLY. At least not in Great Britain. No one would dare try entering a country without a valid passport,visa, and other documents. Why would they want to years ago. Our welfare system was not so generous years ago was it? Now it is foolishly so and all and sundry are prepared to take the risk. If you can afford to pay thousands to people smugglers to get here then the financial rewards once settled here must be quite high and a good investment for them. Unfortunatly they are not a good investment to the UK taxpayer. If Scotland gets the Yes vote then perhaps they would be glad to embrace them all. Plenty of land to develop ghettoes up there I understand.

Yes but why the need in the first place, it just means that Mr & Mrs UK & Children will need to go to the back of the queue while these people are attended to.

Thanks for the patronising Geography PP. I am aware where Afghanistan is and that it is land locked. Your Geography lesson today is that Zeebrugge is a coastal port in Belgium. That is where the container vessel sailed from to bring them here. The British government can start by sending them back there to the last country they were in that,by international treaty, has to afford them safety and asylum. That is Belgium.

I doubt many of these people paid people smugglers. They'll have been brought here as slaves. What a disgrace in 21st century Britain. How has this happened?(obviously I'm surmising about this lot but slavery is back with us. ;-( )

Yes and why go to the expense to house them, containers would make very good tenement blocks piled on top of each other.
