300 civilians murdered in Ukraine = Sanctions, rebuke for Putin, UN resolution.

600 civilians murdered in Gaza = No sanctions, no UN resolution, no rebukes.

Hypocrisy? Double standards? Or is a Palastinian life just worth less?

what is the point of a un resolution they will just ignore it like all the others they have ignored

with america pumping 3 billion a year into israel and them being the worlds police all other countries must do what the americans want
Yes gromit throwing stones gets their attention so much so that they've killed 20-1. So is there not any responsibility on the part of the stone thrower? If you threw a stone at your nieghbour and as a result 20 of your friends and family died and you knew in advance that would happen and you stilll did it, I'd say it's your fault. The Palistinian side would get a lot more sympathy and understanding from the west if they played a smarter long game. They know in advance what Israel will do, in fact I beleive Israel tell them in advance and yet they are still unable to comprehend the best way forward for safety of their own people and instead put them in danger by these silly "stone throwing" activities.
"What's really hypocritical is that the US is jumping up and down threatening Putin with god knows what when they shot down a passenger aircraft over it's own airspace killing 290 civilians."

Not wishing to comment further other than to say that the airliner was shot down over Ukrainian airspace, not Russian. By what is effectively a terrorist unit knowingly (albeit incompetently) committing an act of aggression rather than the inexcusable air defence cock-ups that apparently applied in the cases of Russia v Korea, US v Iran, Ukraine v Russia in the past.

Er, didn't Israel invade Gaza?

////Better have a word with Hamas then and ask them to stop training and using children as suicide bombers.////

How many Israelies have been killed this way so far? And same question goes to the people who talk about rockets being fired. How many people have been killed by these rockets? And then if you have only few cells left in the memory department of your brain, answer one more question. Israel has so far killed over 600 people as a revenge of 3 teenagers being killed. Where no one knows who killed those 3 teenagers. Can you tell me what is the ratio between 3 and 600 (so far)?

Hamas's rocket only kills you if it lands in the middle of your head. Whereas Israel has been given the most sophisticated weapons by USA and they do use it. But don't worry time is not far now when Israel's power will be tested against someone who would slap them as hard as they do. They are so used to beating up the ones who can't even put their hands up to defend themselves.

And finally here is what that land used to be and what it is now. Can you see who has killed more?

Having said that, I will not keep on arguing with the people who can’t even see with eyes what is in front of them.
A few countries in the West, specifically USA and their allies do not accept democracy if Hamas wins election, if Muslims brotherhood wins in Egypt, and more recently if the person they do not like wins in Afghanistan. They do talk about democracy though, but it has to be of their choice otherwise an elected person will be in the prison and someone else even a dictator would be in power as it is now in Egypt. And then they are worried that why people in few countries do not like them?
"Hamas's rocket only kills you if it lands in the middle of your head." - but each one kills a lot of Palistinians, I'd say Hamas are your problem.

Er, didn't Israel invade Gaza?

I think you've missed the entire point of what I was saying.
Yes of course Israel invaded Gaza, and I don't necessarily defend that at all, but the question was are double standards being applied here.
And I said that in this instance Israel was responding, rightly or wrongly, to a terrorist threat, whereas Russia's invasion is not in response to any sort of threat at all. Therefore in the eyes of many there might be a difference.
How many Israelies have been killed this way so far?

Ah, right. So the fact that Hamas use children in attempted suicide attacks is only deemed repulsive if the attempted attack is successful?
Thankfully, this attack was prevented, sparing injury and death but more importanlty sparing the young lad with learning difficulties who was tricked by militants:

Where have you got it from that Russia invaded the Ukraine?

It was some Ukrainian subjects that were against their Government's intention of joining the EU, and Russia were supporting these Eastern Ukrainians, because they also did not want the EU and NATO bordering on their territory also.

We've heard that perverted logic before T3

Crete for example:

'If you want us to stop massacring villagers, just tell your Partisans to stop murdering members of the German occupation force - simples!'

Question Author
Ukraine has effectively split because there was a revolution that removed the democratically elected President.

The revolution was not universally supported and the east of the country supported the President. When he was deposed, they decided to not accept the
new lot who had installed themselves. The Russians supported them.

All this arose because Ukraine needed a $20billion bailout after the financial crash. There were two deals on the table. One from the EU and the other from the Russian equivalent, the CIS. One the face of it, the CIS deal was better, but the Government instead pursued the route to EU Associate membership. This effectively started a trade war. The Russians retaliated by imposing EU tariffs on Ukrainian products entering Russia. The Ukraine economy began to collapse. The Ukraine Government responded by suspending EU Association talks and delayed signing a treaty with the EU. The Pro EU faction took to the streets and weeks of civil unrest followed. Many people died on both sides including 18 policemen. Eventually the President was forced out even though parliament did not have the number of votes to legitimately remove him. The revolution elected a new Pro EU President and a loan deal was signed with the EU. The eastern provinces rejected all that and staged their own revolution and ascended to Russia.
spot on Zeuhl, why is that perverted logic?
