As above,yet when I woke several hours earlier,I had no pain.

Its across the knuckles,and around and into the fleshy part of my palm. Its difficult to grip and bend my fingers in. Ouch!

An odd story pasta.

Sudden onset of what sounds like an arthritic problem.

Many things come to mind, but I can only think of gout that would come on so quickly............and it doesn't sound THAT typical of gout .

I don't know.

Ibuprofen "400mgms" and monitor the situation.

Off to my Club now.

No ibuprofen in the house,but took anadin extra which always helps my joint pain. Will give it a day or two. Thanks both.

I should also say there is no redness or swelling,and when I press the areas there is no pain...its only when I move my hand.
pasta....forget my initial diagnosis........

Do you suffer from any pre-existing underlying problems. e.g bowel problems?
