I always vote Labour at the General Election.
My local Councillor is Conservative and I vote for him locally
Bear in mind that there is wobble on any poll ( = inaccuracy )

and voter intention may not coincide with voter-do

got very wide when few people admitted voting for Thatcher and many many did

the pollster when she won against their expectations just shrugged and commented that people had not voted as they said they had done....
Good answer Mickey :-)
ymb...just an observation ! AB welcomes everybody, as long as they are obey the simple rules "but personal attacks and abusive language will not be tolerated"

Nice to see that although 18.87% say that they intend to vote UKIP, nobody, as yet has owned up to voting for the seriously racist party, the truly odious and a lot-more-than-ghastly BNP !
ymb...."Although you say this is a right wing sight it is really a right-on lefty liberal site, although does change over the years"

Appears to have changed this morning, if Ed's Poll is anything to go by !
Ichkeria, sexual scandal and splits at the top have probably scuppered any chances NI21 ever had. But it was remiss of me to leave them out.
AB is not typical of the country. Most here in the News section are older and more likely to vote Conservative.
I will be voting my usual way for my usual party.

We can only really ask for "intention" at this (or any) stage PP :)

I am surprised the BNP have gathered no votes at all.
A few may vote for them but who would admit it?
SNP only one vote thus far? Who on Earth could that be I wonder........!!
Need an "I haven't decided yet" option

I thought you might want to have a look back at recent polls we've run about government, and issues which are likely to still be a factor in the next election:

Election Poll: Which way will you swing, and will it be hung? (April 2010)

I like the sheer optimism of "The Next PM" i.e. "none of the above" :)

"Need an "I haven't decided yet" option"

No it doesn't - because you don't have a voting intention, so the poll doesn't apply, yet :)
I have spent several elections ignoring national politics and voting for our good constituency MP - who is however retiring, so I don't know what to do next.
Astounded 4 people are going to vote for the Greens. Been a disaster here in Brighton. Tried to put the Council Tax up by circa 6%!!

Maybe you'll have to find the candidates and give them a grilling JNO. We can sent out an AB press hat and Microphone label if you like?
Question Author
Did you vote for them Ladybirder?
we did that for the council elections, Ed. The candidates of all parties turned out to be a complete shower of idiots. The only one who was coherent and had some kind of nous was a Tory, who unfortunately thought she was addressing voters in a completely different ward. She didn't get elected.
Question Author
Amazing Jno. I am sure we'd all be saddened by how common this kind of behaviour is if we all compared notes.

I remember when I was still at school and all the candidates for the MP seat turned up on seperate occasions and were grilled by our immature minds. The thing I remember taking away is that you should probably never meet the candidates as they're all the wrong kind of people because they've put themselves forward for the job!
